Correcting StarClan’s Judgement: How Flawed the System Is by Spiritpaw

Spiritpaw breaks down how StarClan judges cats and how it can be improved.

Hello! It is I, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz Spiro, back with another article! You’ve read the title. You know what time it is.
SPOILER WARNING!!!! SPOILERS FOR AVOS, CROOKEDSTAR’S PROMISE, BLUESTAR’S PROPHECY, AND MAPLESHADE’S VENGEANCE AHEAD!!!!

Let’s start with the issue of Juniperclaw.
We know he went to the Dark Forest for poisoning the SkyClan fresh-kill pile and nearly killing Sparrowpelt who ate the poisoned mouse.
Then, after he was banished for his act, we skip ahead a little bit and
OH MY GOSH SHADOWKIT AND VIOLETSHINE ARE GONNA DIE THEY’RE GONNA DROWN OHMYGOSH
Juniperclaw appears and rescues both of them, sacrificing himself for two cats so they can get out of the river.
And how does StarClan repay him for saving the lives of two cats? They send him to the Place of No Stars, of course!
True, he did poison fresh-kill that could have easily been given to a kit or an elder – but Sparrowpelt took it and lived because they found out what was wrong with him fast enough. Nd, again, it is true that Juniperclaw done messed up real bad, and he gets punished for it – he’s chased out of the Clans to live as a rogue, robbed of all honor and anything of self-worth.
But then he comes back to save the drowning (and unbeknownst to everyone, pregnant) Violetshine and the helpless kit Shadowkit.
I think Juniperclaw made up for his mistakes in his last moments, saving the lives of two innocent cats.
ESPECIALLY because ASHFUR got to go to StarClan for attmempted murder of THREE cats – just because they were warriors doesn’t make murder any less bad! And Ashfur didn’t even make up for his mistake, instead planning to expose his supposed ‘love of his life’ at a Gathering, and StarClan, the idiots they are, mistake this for LOVE.
Of all things, LOVE. Ashfur had an unhealthy obsession with Squirrelflight, which later caused him to nearly wipe out all of the Clans!
All Juniperclaw ever did was maybe almost murder someone in defence of his Clan.
OH, so STARCLAN’s ok with LOVE which they have been OPPOSED TO for SEVERAL GENERATIONS, but defending your CLAN is punishable by being sentenced to the Dark Forest forever?
My point: StarClan needs to get their act together and stop being corrupt. Also, Juniperclaw deserved StarClan.

Now let’s talk about Appledusk.
Yes, you read that right, Appledusk.
So this is going to be a bit shorter than Juniperclaw’s section, and much, much different – we know that Appledusk is in StarClan. I’m going to argue why he should have gone to the Dark Forest.
If Frecklewish went there for letting innocent kits die, then so should Appledusk (for different reasons, obviously).
I’m not going to be bringing up the cheating thing because StarClan freakin’ doesn’t care EVEN THOUGH THEY SHOULD!!!! This is a reason that he should be in the Dark Forest. He was terrible to Mapleshade even though she was a forbidden mate. StarClan, like I said, apparently doesn’t care about cheaters unless they are… How to say this… legal mates? I don’t know.
Appledusk deserves the Dark Forest because he was terrible to his mate, and even though he loved his kits, blaming their death on the mother is a terrible thing to do. She could barely swim!! She tried to save them!!
Appledusk is a terrible cat who deserves the Dark Forest as much as Mapleshade does.

Now let’s discuss Rainflower.
She. Is. FREAKIN’ ABUSIVE TO HER KIT!!!!!!
But apparently StarClan doesn’t think this is crime enough to send her to cat heck. If Juniperclaw, who corrected his terrible mistake ends up in the Dark Forest, and Rainflower who emotionally scared her son for all of his life and never, ever made up for it or apologized or was ever even sorry for her wrongdoings gets to go to StarClan?! Smh.
StarClan is very corrupt.
Rainflower deserves to go to the Dark Forest, maybe even more than Mapleshade… maybe. I think I’m being a little over-dramatic, but seriously, Rainflower needs to go to the Place of No Stars.

Hawkheart. Let’s talk about him for a little bit.
He freakin’ broke TWO CODES when we murdered Moonflower, as well as commiting, dare I say it, MURDER?!?!?
Let’s break this down.
We know that Moonflower was ordered to try and destroy WindClan’s medicine supplies due to her, erm… mentally-ill brother’s omen about a vole or something. So, there she goes, into the WindClan medicine den when Hawkheart spots her and kills her.
True, what Moonflower was trying to do was something bad, but she thought she was being a loyal warrior. And then Hawkheart just gets away with it.
Some could argue that Hawkheart didn’t know he was going to kill Moonflower. Um… he attacked her full-force and, if I remember correctly, wasn’t even sorry. In fact, I think I remember him being maybe even a tiny bit smug about it! So if Juniperclaw is in the Dark Forest for attempted maybe-murder, Hawkheart should most definetly have been sent to the Dark Forest!!
