— Spoilers for the power of three! —

Hollyleaf, as you know, was shocked to discover she wasn’t in the three. It seemed terrible that the siblings weren’t going to be together, but this was a blessing in disguise! How could this be good though? We’ll get to that in a second. First, let’s talk a little bit about this prophecy. Jayfeather was the one to see it and started to notice his powers. Shortly after, so did Lionblaze. But Hollyleaf didn’t. This confused readers, but we later found out the cats were reincarnations. Jay’s Wing, Lion’s Roar, and Dove’s Wing. And, as far as I’m aware, there is no cat that Hollyleaf could even be from! Well- that’s enough about the powers, now, why is she not part of the three? Let’s get to reason one!

As you can see above, Hollyleaf can’t see past the code. All she ever thinks is code. Is this a trait? Not really. Hollyleaf is blinded by her obsession and can’t see past that. There is no power that can be pulled out of that. And it’s also another reason why she wasn’t a reincarnation because the code wasn’t a thing then!

And, as you can see above, this next reason is that Hollyleaf is also a murderer! Doing this in a way proves how much fury is hiding behind her fur! If she is bothered to even slightly, she will go berserk! This is not a good trait for what would be a powerful cat.

Another reason? Well, as much as I hate to admit it because I love Hollyleaf, Dovewing is clearly the better candidate. First of all, (yes, I know I keep bringing this up) Dovewing is a reincarnation, which is why she was chosen for the powers. Secondly, it adds drama as it angers her sister- which drives the whole dark forest plot forward!

And sadly, my final reason is that the writing needs to be interesting and suspenseful. So, Hollyleaf is the victim of good writing. Poor Hollyleaf!

Well, that’s the end of my article, I hoped you guys enjoyed it. What powers do you think Hollyleaf could have had?

Honeypaw out!
