Cat that is elegantly perched
On the garden wall, staring
Right into the house window,
Clearly intent on deciphering the
Hidden contents. With care, I
Lightly turn the key in the door
(In hope it won’t flee) and step into the
Garden, barefoot, wishing to
Have the opportunity to see
The cat closer and befriend it.
