Hi! Scorchmist here! In this article I’ll be ranking three of the most popular non-canon/partially cannon “ships” of the Warriors fandom.

Warning from StarClan: Luckily there are no major spoilers in this article, though it’s best if you have read the first three arcs so you understand what this article is talking about. Remember to respect others’ views on these ships, and be polite in your comments.

Ravenpaw X Barley: 7/10
I’m pretty sure this one is actually confirmed by the Erin Hunter team, and I like it a lot. Ravenpaw and Barley are perfect for each other. They are both very caring and gentle characters, and they complement each other nicely. My only problem with this ship is the age gap. See, at the beginning of TPB, Barely was a fully grown adult (and by cat standards he might have even been considered old). Compare this to Ravenpaw, who had just been made an apprentice at the time, and I’m sure you can understand my problem. Overall, I think this is a great ship, butI do think the age gap is a problem, so I’m giving it a 7/10.

Firestar X Cinderpelt: 3/10
I can’t stand this ship. A lot of people think it’s canon for some reason, but honestly I would have stopped reading Warriors a long time ago if this was canon. I don’t think I need to point out why I can’t stand it, but for the sake of the article, I will. First, Cinderpelt is an apprentice, and before her injury, she was Firestar’s apprentice. This is a horrible ship because of the age gap, and it also has the added power dynamic of the apprentice-mentor system. Second, there is literally no textual evidence for this ship. It’s just altogether a bad idea. At most this ship is a 3/10.

Mothwing X Leafpool: 6/10
I’m not sure about this one. This seems to be a very popular ship, possibly the most popular, and it is certainly better than some of the other Leafpool ships I have seen. My only issues with it is the lack of textual evidence (Leafpool only said Mothwing was pretty once and never confessed any feelings for her) and the fact that by the rules of the Warrior Code, it is illegal. Both characters are Medicine Cats, and they belong to different Clans, so this ship is completely against the rules. In my opinion these two work better as best friends. I think I’ll give this ship a 6/10, because while I do understand why some people like it, I don’t think it fits well with the storyline.

I hope you enjoyed my article! Until next time!
