Hints of daylight break through the sky
As I stare at it. They are made of
Zebra-like stripes – shafts of
Enthralling beams and rays that
Lightly begin to dapple the clouds, faint then
Suddenly clear and bright as the time
Passes by. I stand in the darkness of the night
Like a statue, perfectly still, gazing outwards.
As I was unable to sleep, I got up,
Stumbling to the window, and looked, my
Heart now races with excitement as dawn comes.
