Hi. I am someone who lost interest in Warriors a while ago, but for my break, I have temporarily come back to the Blog, and I thought I would leave an article. I wanted to share five scenes in Warriors I remember well.

1) Millie’s Warrior Ceremony
Personally I dislike Millie, but I like how she advocated for herself. She felt that the name Millie was right for her, therefore she kept it. Learning to advocate for herself was a really important skill for her to learn. If she had let Firestar give her a new name, she might have felt uncomfortable, which is not a good thing. Therefore, I really like how she asked Firestar to let her keep her name, and I’m glad she did it.

2) Yellowfang Asking Cinderpaw to Be Her Apprentice
Cinderpelt. She was my favorite cat in the entire franchise. I feel bad for her, since she was never able to become a warrior due to her leg injury. Eventually, though, she learned that she could work quite well with Yellowfang, who was my other favorite medicine cat. When Yellowfang asked Cinderpelt, Cinderpaw at the time, to be her apprentice, I can imagine the excitement that went through Cinderpaw’s head. After all, she could finally do something. She grew up to be a great medicine cat, and that one moment of Yellowfang asking her to become a medicine cat apprentice. It was quite an important time in Cinderpelt’s life, and since Cinderpelt was my favorite, I can definitely remember this.

3) Brightheart’s Renaming Ceremony
Bluestar had stopped thinking logically, and she had named Brightpaw Lostface. This was obviously a cruel name. When Bluestar died, Fireheart took her place with the name Firestar, and he renamed her Brightheart. What I like about this is that Firestar recognized that the name Lostface didn’t fit her, therefore he had the kindness to rename her. I also like how Cloudtail protested against her having the name Lostface. It was very kind of him and it shows how he was a great friend and mate to her.

4) Crowfeather’s Warrior Ceremony
Crowpaw was very saddened by the death of Feathertail. During his warrior ceremony, he asked Tallstar to name him Crowfeather, in honor of Feathertail, and Tallstar agreed; -feather also happens to be a great suffix for the prefix Crow-. I love this scene because it was very noble of Crowfeather to name himself after the one who died saving him. As she died saving cats, I find it important for her to be honored in some way, therefore Crowpaw becoming Crowfeather is a perfect opportunity to honor her. I also love how even while Feathertail wasn’t of WindClan, Tallstar recognized that this was a noble request and he was willing to name Crowpaw Crowfeather.

5) Willowbreeze’s Death
Because I did not get to read too many of the books, the only scene that made me cry was when Willowbreeze died. Throughout Crookedstar’s Promise, we got to see how much Crookedstar and Willowbreeze loved each other, which made Willowbreeze’s death sadder than it was already. It is also sad that Minnowkit and Willowkit had to die. I would have loved to see what it would have been like if all three of them survived and Willowbreeze got to raise her three kits with Crookedstar. It is sad that Silverstream never really got to meet her mother and siblings. Willowbreeze’s death was really sad.

Thanks for reading!
