Are Forbidden Relationships overused by Honeyfrost

Hello, (Honey) Frost’s, here! My first article. Today I will be talking about Forbidden Relationships, since I think they’re not talked about enough!

I know a lot of people hate these, but here’s the thing. Honestly, its realistic, to be blunt. These cats see each other 75% of the time? Either it’s during patrols, “quest” type things (like the beavers), or at Gatherings. But the issue with it is that the cats HIDE it. Sure, I understand WHY it’s hidden, but it could be written better. I don’t know a cat that hasn’t. And after awhile they end up revealing the truth, or at least plan to. When it is figured out, there is pain and punishment(s). Which ends with death. Lots of death. There is..Mapleshade, for example. (obviously) Why did she become a murderer? We all (hopefully) know what happened with Patchkit, Petalkit and Larchkit. But if you don’t the basic summary is that Mapleshade was a warrior of ThunderClan, but then the Clans cast her out as a traitor—and she vowed to seek her kits revenge.
Not always is the punishment given to the cat by another cat. For example, Silverstream.. She died giving birth to half-Clan kits (Feathertail and Stormfur). I doubt it was a coincidence.

If the cats even try to do something to run away and live together, alone without their Clans, they’ll want to come back to friends and family, for example Leafpool and Crowfeather. It’s just the way they’re raised, to always be loyal. Because of this, they can never leave for long (Stormfur is a special case) before they return to their Clans and have to pretend they never met. It can even cause rivalry between cats.
I like some cross-clan relationships but Dove x Tiger is the worst. I hate that ship. I love Root x Bristle and it was more interesting that a couple didn’t have to have kits.

ANYWAY, either you love them or hate them. It is a way of Clan Life. That’s what you get when reading Warrior Cats. Either if it is well-written or rushed, we can never avoid it.
Hope you like my article! Thank you, Honeyfrost.
