Why I Hate Oakstar, And What Would Have Happened If Mapleshade Wasn’t Exiled by Stormflower

Stormflower shares why they don’t like Oakstar and what could’ve been Mapleshade’s future if she hadn’t been exiled.

Hello fellow BlogClanners! This is my first article, so I might make some mistakes. I also have only read up to Dark River (I just finished The Sight), and I know most of the information from Google and YouTube. Before I start, I have an awesome—I mean pawsome YouTube channel, called Stormflower. And for all of you who play Roblox, my username is StormflowerXD. Okay, so my article is going to be why Oakstar is an awful leader, and what would have happened if Mapleshade wasn’t exiled (Spoilers to Mapleshade’s Vengeance). I’m gonna be honest here, I love Mapleshade! But Oakstar…I just hate him. He exiled poor Maple, which was the main cause for her to go insane. She was just a loyal warrior (apart from breaking the warrior code), a faithful mate, and a loving mother. She lost all the things she had, and she took her anger and grief out on other cats. Don’t get me wrong, she shouldn’t have killed cats out of grief, but they all did have a part in leading to her misery. Appledusk cheated on her, Ravenwing got a sign from StarClan that Maple’s kits didn’t belong, leading to her exile, and Frecklewish kind of just sat there while three helpless kits were drowning. But Oakstar is who I despise the most. Ravenwing was innocent, but Oakstar made the final decision to exile Mapleshade. Why did he exile her? Because she had a mate in another Clan, and had kits with him. Um, excuse me? Do you remember Bluestar? Or Leafpool? Or Graystripe? Or Dovewing? Heard of them? They had a mate and kits in another Clan. And guess what didn’t happen? That’s right, they weren’t exiled. WHAT!?! If they weren’t exiled, surely Maple shouldn’t have been! And Bluestar had kits not too long after Mapleshade was exiled. Okay, so yeah, that’s why I hate Oakstar.

Now what would have happened if Mapleshade wasn’t exiled. Okay, first of all, she wouldn’t have killed all those cats. Second of all, she would have become deputy, and eventually leader. You may be wondering, “Stormflower, what? Leader!?!” Well, in the Ultimate Guide it states that she had leader-like qualities. So, if she wasn’t exiled, there would be Maplestar! And how I wish there was a Maplestar (There actually is a Maplestar, but you get the point!)
