Hi BlogClan! My name is Streak on Cat’s Claw, but you can call me Streakclaw or Streaky. 🙂 I’m here to write about a certain ship, and you can tell from the title that it’s Dovewing+Tigerstar. I’m giving you my opinion on it and an explanation for the opinion. But I warn you: If you haven’t read the recent books, SPOILER ALERT!!!!!! Leave right now if you haven’t, unless you want spoilers. I’m watching you! 😁Anyway, let us get to it!
Is DoveXTiger a good or bad ship? My answer (in my opinion, remember this comes all from me) is…(drumroll please) no. Of course, those of you who ship them will probably be like “oh my gosh what is Streakclaw blabbering on about?” But please note that I will NOT change my mind unless I get a bunch of GOOD reasons to. Perhaps those of you who agree with me on the question are like “I totally get what your talking about.” Aaanyway, back to my answer. I say no because Dovewing should NOT have left ThunderClan when they needed her most, and the same for Tigerheart/star (I know right? Tigerstar II! I’m going to call him Tigerheart, just not to get you confused). I’m really against Tigerheart because he was DEPUTY, for StarClan’s sake! And Dovewing shouldn’t even have switched Clans to be with him, especially since she was ON OF THE THREE. She was SUPPOSED to stay loyal to her Clan because of that! Not run off and leave! I was really hoping when they were privately seeing each other like Lionblaze and Heathertail, it would stop and they would drift apart just like with Lionblaze and Heathertail. But did they? Of course not! And even though Dovewing felt betrayed by him, she STILL BECAME MATES!!!! I MEAN WHO DOES THAT?!?!?! I THOUGHT SHE HAD ENOUGH SENSE!!!!! (Sorry I am yelling I am just so mad!!!) Anyway, they run off and have kits together, leaving the Clans which need them more than ever, and then they return like nothing ever happened with kits and a basically dead Tigerheart. And THEN Dovewing announces after Tigerheart becomes leader that she is going to join ShadowClan to be with Tigerheart like it was no big deal and that she wasn’t just LEAVING her family and friends forever. AAAAAGH!!!! (I am so sorry, but writing this article is making me so mad!!!!) You know what? I am just going to wrap up this article before I explode.
So, those are my reasons and opinions on DoveXTiger, I hope you enjoyed! (Not the part when I was about to explode, though). Maybe I made you not like this ship like me, maybe I made you like the ship somehow. Either way, that is all! Now you see how much I dislike this ship. See you around BlogClan! -Streakclaw

Great article! I dislike the ship too! Maybe you could pay attention to things like “Of course, those of you who ship them will probably be like “oh my gosh what is Streakclaw blabbering on about?”” and “unless I get a bunch of GOOD reasons to”, please be careful not to dismiss other people’s opinions and reasoning, though that’s really not what you seemed to mean by the text. I just mean people who disagree might be offended.
Anyways, my feelings on Dovewing leaving are…Mixed. It made her a more interesting character in my opinion, but she also left for Tigerheart, who I never really thought of as good mate material. Another thing, I see a lot of people saying that “Dovewing is one of the Three, so she should have been loyal” and I just want to remind you that she never CHOSE to be one of the Three. She didn’t ask for powers. So you can’t really have something she can’t control make her loyal. One more reason for her to escape ThunderClan, actually. But she had lots of family and friends there who supported her! So its also odd.
I think I just have a problem with Tigerheart specifically, which is why I hate the ship. I have no issues with cats leaving their Clans for love. It’s their life, their LOVE life, their decision, etc. Honestly warrior cats makes the topic of Clan loyalty more toxic than it should be. But Tigerheart is a jerk.
While I’m sure he… cared… for Dovewing, he also manipulated her just like Tigerstar 1. He still used her for his own personal gain and that fact was never even addressed.
Great article! However, I do not agree with the switching Clans part. Would you call Tawnypelt a traitor? What about Twigbranch or Finleap, Sunbeam or Nightheart? Graystripe? Fernstripe?
I’ve only read up to OotS 😂 but I liked the ship then. I shouldn’t have spoiled it for myself but I don’t see a big problem with her joining shadowclan but to be honest I haven’t read that far yet 🤣.
