Biases Between Warriors Characters by Sandkit

Sandkit wonders if some characters are biased towards others or not.

Hi!!! Sandkit here with my first article! Today, I will be writing about how some leadersdeputies and medicine cats are chosen unfairly. Some deputies are kin or former apprentices of the cat who chose them, and I will discuss if some of these cats are or are not biased.

LIST OF POTENTIAL BIASES:

Firestar was Bluestar’s apprentice.
Bramblestar was Firestar’s apprentice and Squirrelflight’s mate.
Graystripe was Firestar’s best friend.
Jayfeather is Leafpool’s son.

SO, ARE THEY BIASED?

1. Firestar was Bluestar’s apprentice.

Bluestar took Firepaw as her apprentice in Into the Wild for unstated reasons that were unstated but clearly because of the prophecy. Then, Bluestar later chose Fireheart as deputy because she thought that he was the only trustworthy cat in the Clan and also because of the prophecy. Fireheart later became Firestar and saved all Clans.

CONCLUSION:

No, Bluestar took Firestar as her apprentice for the same reason she made him deputy.

2. Bramblestar was Firestar’s apprentice and Squirrelflight’s mate.

Firestar waited long for Graystripe to return before choosing a new deputy. Leafpool also received a vision saying that Brambleclaw should be the deputy of ThunderClan. Also, he had already been acting as a deputy in Graystripe’s absence. However, Firestar also appointed Brambleclaw as deputy without an apprentice.

CONCLUSION:

Slightly. After Leafpool’s vision, it wasn’t biased, and Brambleclaw was already the obvious choice, but it was still breaking the warrior code.

3. Graystripe was Firestar’s best friend.

Whitestorm’s last words were, ” You know Graystripe is the one StarClan meant to be your deputy.” but if it hadn’t been Graystripe, Firestar wouldn’t have been as likely to listen. Firestar also might have chosen Graystripe too soon after Graystripe rejoined the Clan.

CONCLUSION:

Somewhat. It was probably Whitestorm who influenced Firestar, but Graystripe might have been Firestar’s first deputy if it hadn’t been for the whole Clan-swapper thing.

4. Jayfeather is Leafpool’s son.

I will write about both Hollyleaf and Jayfeather being Leafpool’s kits here. So, Hollyleaf wanted to be a med cat but then changed her mind early or in her apprenticeship in the same chapter where Jayfeather becomes a med apprentice.
