Elections, Day 2: Second Deputy Hustings

The second day of Deputy hustings! Meet candidates Hollymist and Flamespirit!

Welcome back, BlogClanners! Today is the second day of Deputy hustings. If you’re just tuning in today or aren’t quite sure what hustings entail, check out the first 2023 Elections post here! Applications are still open, so if you want to apply to run for Deputy you can do so here. Applications will be open until 23:59 UTC on July 4th (click here to convert to your local time)!

Yesterday we were introduced to some amazing candidates and you all provided wonderful questions for them! Let’s keep that energy going for our next candidates: Hollymist and Flamespirit!

Candidates may use the comments below as a space to put their campaign, and the amazing members of BlogClan can use the comments as a space to ask questions, such as: why do you want this position? What are some good qualities you have? What are your flaws? What would you want to add to BlogClan? What changes would you like to make?

Creative, Honest, Careful

 I’m not sure I quite know what to say, since I can pretty much do the same things as Deputy as if I was just a regular warrior. I will say that I do want the position partially because of the status, but I think that’s probably a factor that most of the candidates like about Deputy. I’m not gonna try and say “I want to be able to inspire people!” or something like that, cause I can do that just being a regular warrior. But I hope I can be a friendly and comforting presence to all Blogclanners, so they know that even when everything is wrong, they still have someone to confide in. I want them to be comfortable asking me any questions they have about the blog that they don’t want to bother the mods with, because I remember when I first joined, I was struggling to figure things out, and I was a bit nervous bugging the mods so much. I want to be Deputy so I can help people throughout their “BlogClan journey.”
P.S. I hope that I’m doing all this right. I wasn’t around for previous elections, so I really have no idea what I’m doing. Bare with me BlogClan! I’m sure if I look back at this a year from now it’s going to be so cringy, but I hope you guys don’t mind. Please accept me and my cringy-ness for what we are. 🙂

Hey bloggers!! It’s Flam here, and I’m running for deputy! I know that I’m only an apprentice, but I’m give it a shot anyway (because I’m not throwin’ away my shot, my fellow Hamilton lovers! 😉 (Omg that is so cringey why did I type that?? 😛 ))!! I love BlogClan with a burning passion (hey burning, I’m an arsonist, get it?? No?? O-okay… 😛 ) and I’d love to help it from the position of deputy. Lots of people probably see me on the Please Introduce Yourself! page, and that’s because I want to make new BlogClanners feel as welcome as they possibly can. I remember when I joined (it was March 19, 2022, to be exact! 😉 ), I was very suspicious of everyone (before realizing how amazing this community was <3) and overall kinda shifty myself. After all, it was the first time I’d ever really joined a website, and it still is the only chatting website I’m a member of! I’m not the best at talking to people, and I’m very socially awkward, but BlogClan made me feel at home almost immediately. I’d like to be the reason-or at least part of the reason-that someone like I was when I joined turn out to be someone like me now, with lots of amazing friends on here (love you guys! <3) and now running for deputy! I couldn’t imagine a little over a year ago that I’d be writing this message, and it wouldn’t have been for the amazing, wonderful, funny, kind, and overall stupendous (and other arson-loving 😉 ) members of this community. While it would be fantastic to be deputy, I’ll support anyone regardless of whom they voted for or whether or not I get this title. Before I go, I just want to wish everyone else good luck, and I want to thank you all for just being on this blog (and maybe considering to vote for me!)!! <3 I love you guys so much (platonically, of course, as I’m aroace 😛 ) and I promise that if I do get the honor of being your deputy, that I will help each and every one of you to the best of my abilities and more. <3
And one last note before I go…
Commit tax fraud. Boom. Inspirational speech-DONE! Whoo! I am amazing. 😉
