The second day of Medicine Cat hustings! Meet candidates Eggsnake and Willowstripe!
Welcome back, BlogClanners! Today is the second day of Medicine Cat hustings. If you’re just tuning in today or aren’t quite sure what hustings entail, check out the first 2023 Elections post here! Applications are still open, so if you want to apply to run for Medicine Cat you can do so here. Applications will be open until 23:59 UTC on July 4th (click here to convert to your local time)!
Yesterday we were introduced to some amazing candidates and you all provided wonderful questions for them! Let’s keep that energy going for our next candidates: Eggsnake and Willowstripe!
Candidates may use the comments below as a space to put their campaign, and the amazing members of BlogClan can use the comments as a space to ask questions, such as: why do you want this position? What are some good qualities you have? What are your flaws? What would you want to add to BlogClan? What changes would you like to make?
I shall now hand it over to our candidates! Good luck to all! 😀
Smart, Friendly, Cool-Headed
When I first joined BlogClan, I wasn’t sure of what I was getting into. I was just an average messed up kid with covert narcissism and anger issues who wanted to talk with others about a little book series about cats. Little did I know BlogClan would be one of the best things I was ever a part of.
Nearly right away I noticed that BlogClan was not like any other social media site. The people here are not judgemental or negative like I’ve experienced elsewhere. In fact, they are quite the opposite. These are people who understand each other, spread positivity, and look to each other for company, comfort, and guidance.
As I’ve stuck with BlogClan over the years, I’ve realized more and more that BlogClan is not a site. It’s a community that I am very lucky to be a part of. I’ve made good friends here, met wonderful people, had some interesting conversations that I actually didn’t know how to have in real life.
BlogClan helped me with my personality back then. It shaped me to be a better person. And even now, it’s still helping me learn new things that I didn’t even know I had to learn. This community has helped me when I needed it most, and I want to do the same for you.
I want to give back to this community that has helped me so much over the years. I want you to feel the comfort, hospitality, and closeness I and so many others feel in this community. I want to make you feel like you belong, because you do. I want you to know that you are an important part of BlogClan, because you are.
As medicine cat, I will help around the community as much as I can, whether that be spreading kindness on the Positivity page, calming down an argument (or telling a moderator about it) on an article, talking with others on the Tavern, or anything else. Each and every member of BlogClan is so important to me. You all are wonderful people who encourage others like me to be the same way. There aren’t enough words to describe my gratitude and love for everyone in this community of BlogClan. This is the least I can do for you.
Good luck to all my fellow candidates!
Kind, Helpful, Humorous
I would like this position because I am quite helpful, funny, and kind. An example of these qualities in real life is being a counselor in a Chinese camp this week. I helped each teacher with some specific task. I also helped made sure the show on the last day of that camp went well. During that week, I made a lot of new friends, mostly through kindness, but also through laughter. I kindly guided these kids to the correct position for dancing and told little humorous statements, which they loved. This position would fit me because I love making new friends, helping out anyone with a little trouble, and put humor and kindness into my comment to make the community happy.
Amazing job, guys! 😀
Thank you to Swiftfeather for the campaign posters used in this post!
