Why Frogleap is the best warrior cats character by Frogpaw

Frogpaw shares why think Frogleap is the best character in the series.

Hello! It’s Gryffinkit and this is my first article! I’m so happy to be here in Blogclan and today i’m writing about why I think Frogleap is the best. Please keep in mind that this is a opinion piece and this is my opinion, not yours. So if you don’t like this character please don’t scream at me in the comments or something. But I would love to hear your opinion!

1- my first reason I think Frogleap is awesome is because he was a great mentor to Whitepaw! Yeah, he was a unofficial mentor. But he helped Whiteclaw learn a lot. For example, in Leopardstar’s Honor, it is stated Whitepaw wasn’t doing well on his warrior training, and then Frogleap jumps in and Whitepaw is doing better! And you can’t say it isn’t adorable when Frogleap helps Whitepaw catch a frog (even though frogs are my favorite animal T-T).
Frogleap: “Look! It’s my namesake. Should we catch it? Or let it go?”
Whitepaw: “Catch it!”
Frogleap: “Come on, then.”

2- Frogleap refused to hunt on WindClan when they had been forced out of their territory. Correct me if i’m wrong, but the warrior code says not to trespass on other’s territory. And yes, it’s a bit bizarre that you wouldn’t hunt on a territory that was already forced out, but he felt it wasn’t right. I just felt that was so sweet.

Frogleap: “Was that really the right thing to do? […] They were WindClan warriors. The moor is their home.”
Leopardfur: “Was their home. WindClan gave it up.”
Frogleap: “That doesn’t mean we can hunt there and they can’t.”
Leopardfur: “Why are you so concerned about every Clan but your own?”
Frogleap: “Because those WindClan cats are warriors, just like us! They don’t deserve to starve any more than we do!”
Leopardfur: “That’s their problem. Not ours.”
Frogleap: “Oh, Leopardfur. You’re not the warrior I hoped you’d become.”
Leopardfur: “Thank StarClan I’m not.”

-3 Frogleap knew he wasn’t right for Leopardstar. Again, don’t scream at me Leopardstar lovers, but I don’t like Leopardstar. And Frogleap knew he wasn’t right for her. Tbh I would pick Mosspelt over Leopardstar. Good job 👍🏻 I love this quote:

Frogleap: “I guess other cats are less selfish than me. They can put their Clan before their own needs. But I want kits, and a mate who has time for me. And I’ve come to realize that means I need a mate who’s just a warrior, like me.”
Leopardfur: “You’re not just a warrior. You’re special. Like me. Together we can make RiverClan strong.”
Frogleap: “That’s your destiny. Not mine. I want to belong to RiverClan. You want to lead it. You want nine lives. I only want one, and I don’t want to waste it waiting for the cat I love to make time for me.”
Leopardfur: “Would a life with me really be wasted?”
Frogleap: “Not if it was our life to share. But you want to share your life with all of RiverClan. And I don’t want to get in the way.”
Leopardfur: “I’m sorry. I love you, but I have to follow the path StarClan has laid out for me.”

Alright, i’ll Admit it, Frogleap was a bit needy, but I still love him.

5- Frogleap is super kind. Honestly, this whole article has shown how Frogleap is super kind but I have another reason: in Leopardstar’s Honor, Frogpaw litterally waited for Skypaw when they didn’t finish their warrior assessment! How cute is that? I could go for days mooning over this character honestly.
