First Round of Voting Begins!

Welcome to the first round of voting for our 2023 elections! This election cycle has been a whirlwind of thoughtful speeches, community engagement, and bonding – thanks to everyone, whether you are running or not, for making this election season super special!!

Now it’s time for you as a community to choose who you believe is best fit for the roles of Deputy and Medicine Cat, people you believe represent positive role models for the blog! Each candidate has been able to share more about their goals for the blog and to discuss their strengths in our hustings posts, so check those out if you want to learn more about each candidate! Please make sure you all have read through these posts and thought carefully about your choices before voting!

From now until 23:59 UTC on July 9th (click here for a countdown timer!), polls will be open!

Everyone will have the opportunity to vote for three candidates for each position. This round will narrow down our candidates to three choices for each role, for whom you will vote in the final round, which will start July 10.

You must have been part of the blog for at least one month to vote. You may not vote for the same person twice and must only vote for three people for each position. While we trust you to be honest, we have multiple things in place to catch any cheating, so don’t try it. Everyone will be completely anonymous, but your votes will become invalid if caught cheating.

As a refresher for the jobs of each role:

Medicine Cat

The Medicine Cat is a friendly ambassador to this community.

• They welcome the newest members of BlogClan and play an active role on the New Members page.
• They keep the community content, making sure every member of the site feels happy and involved.
• They act as a go-between with BlogTeam and BlogClan, being one of the most useful points of contact between these two parts of the community.
• They will choose a Medicine Cat Apprentice that they believe most fits the role.

Deputy

The Deputy is a friendly, welcoming role model to this community.

• They welcome the newest members of BlogClan and play an active role on the New Members page.
• They help out members with any problems or difficulties around the blog.
• They are generally a friendly person anyone can approach for help and guidance. They are a role model for BlogClanners.

Best of luck to every candidate running. Your speeches have all been amazing, and it has been lovely to see all of you communicate your passion and love for the blog – you make this place truly something special! These elections are meant to be fun and enjoyable and the results do not determine your worth as a person or BlogClanner. ❤️

I would also like to thank every BlogClanner that asked amazing questions and will contribute to voting. You are the ones that really make these elections run. 🙂
