Renaming ALL Warrior Cats Characters Part 2 by Skypaw

Skypaw gives new names to characters from the series.

Hiiiii everyone! This is part 2 of my article series: the goal is to rename EVERY SINGLE WC character! (Maybe except for DOTC) I’m doing that by renaming the cats from the allegiances and, by extension, analyzing them.
In the last part, I started the allegiances of Into The Wild. I renamed and analyzed the first three cats that appear: Bluestar, Redtail and Spottedleaf. They became Icestar, Foxlight and Poppyflame.
Okay, now that we’ve renamed the leader, deputy and medicine cat, we’ll start looking into the warriors.

Lionheart—magnificent golden tabby tom with thick fur like a lion’s mane
Okay, so we’re going with the lioncat now. Let’s take a look at his description:
Lionheart is a huge, broad-shouldered, bulky, pale golden tabby tom with green eyes. He has thick, tufty fur, and thick fur around his neck, like a lion’s mane.
Well, comparing to the 7 lines long Spottedleaf description, this one’s a relief!
But the prefix is going to be hard. “Lion” truly is the perfect prefix for him…Mmmmm…Well, it isn’t going to be an animal, because he looks like a lion and a lion only. What can it be?
“Dawn” would be good, and so would “Bright” and “Light”. “Light” seems to fit the best, so it is the prefix I’m going with.
Lightkit is born to Speckletail and Smallear alongside his sister Goldenkit. As a kit, he is playful, defiant and a little rebellious. As an apprentice, he is stated by Icepaw (aka Bluepaw but she’s now Icestar, so) to love everything and being always cheerful. He seems to annoy Icepaw quite a lot and tells her not to be grumpy (I’m thinking her mother had already died back then, since she was being grumpy, so he was being rather insensible in my opinion?).
On his first Gathering, he doesn’t seem nervous at all. Swiftbreeze tells Icepaw she thinks he needs to think before he rushes into things. He takes a long time to learn a battle move because he isn’t paying attention. He is really careless, carefree and a bit irresponsible.
He is jealous of Rosepaw for passing her assessment and complains to Iceclaw about it. He discovers Pinestar’s been taking food from the Twolegs and agrees to keep it a secret. Then Pinestar is going to become a kittypet and he keeps that secret too, supporting him when he tells the Clan.
Tigerkit likes him. Wooow. This is DEFINITELY not a bad thing!
As a warrior, he kills Whitefang in a battle (accidentally, apparently?).
At first when he meets Rusty, Lightpaw is rash, but he grows friendly once he agrees to join the Clan. He is a good enough mentor and then dies in a battle.
Honestly, my vision of “wise and warmhearted Lionheart” has completely changed…He is bratty as an apprentice, careless and impulsive. But he was an okay warrior and deputy.
Lightblaze seems like an okay name for him. He is golden-furred, rushes into things without thinking and is easy to annoy, but also cheerful and carefree. It just generally matches and sounds good.
Very well. We have a Lightblaze!

Tigerclaw—big dark brown tabby tom with unusually long front claws.
Hehe. Definitely not the bad guy…As for the detailed description…*inhales*
Tigerstar is a massive, tall, sturdy, heavy, thick-furred, dark brown tabby tom with paler belly fur. He has unusually long, sharp front claws, a broad chest and shoulders, and wide, pale amber eyes. His right ear is split in a deep “V” shape near the top, along with a scar on the bridge of his nose, and his pelt is crisscrossed with long battle scars.
For StarClan’s sake. This is far too specific…
I’ve got an idea for the name. Something like Shiningkit or Bravekit, his mother named him Tigerkit because she wanted him to be strong. Yeah. Bravekit.
Okay. Bravekit gets basically abandoned by his father and his two sisters die. He was a “bad influence to Whitekit”. And Goosefeather kept saying he should have died with his siblings…Creepy.
Thistleclaw is Bravepaw’s mentor, which means he learns to be ruthless and evil. Summarizing.
He almost kills Tiny, he is a terrible mate to Goldenflower, he is a horrible father to Brambleclaw both as an apprentice and warrior, claiming he’ll kill Bramblepaw and then hurting Brambleclaw nightly on Dark Forest training. He is a horrible mate to Sasha, he manipulates and guilt-trips Leopardstar and threatens to kill her if she doesn’t stay silent…Basically, he was terrible.
Anyway. What Sunstar knows when naming him is only that he is a good fighter, ruthless, jumps into situations and is violent and “brave”. Braveclaw would be the perfect, but he was already Tigerclaw originally. I’m going with Bravethorn: it is a lot like a claw, plus it sounds pretty cool, and he is a brown tabby so it matches.
Bravethorn it is.
Well, there wasn’t anything very special in this part! Of course, my opinion on Lionheart/Lightblaze changed, but it wasn’t nearly as productive as the first part. At least we’ve gotten two characters down! (Whitestorm will probably be more fun)
