On the edge of war by Sparrowstrike

Sparrowstrike speculates how war might break out in A Starless Clan.

Hi guys, it’s me, Sparrowstrike (Alias Detective Sparrow)! Today, we are going to look at the tension between the Clans in the Starless Clan arc, which can turn into a war anytime. (I guess this is a part two for my last article…)

NEW LEADER, NEW DEPUTY…

With Bramblestar stepping down from leadership, Squirrelflight will become the leader of ThunderClan. And we all know that she will have to appoint a deputy. But who will be that deputy?
Well, that is a question that is seemingly not related to our topic. But it is. If Squirrelflight appoints a deputy who thinks the same about Tigerstar’s takeover in RiverClan as her, ThunderClan will be even more eager to rush into battle aganist Tigerstar.
The two most obvious candidate is Lionblaze and Ivypool. But during the Broken Code, Lionblaze proved that he is not a really good leader, and he was strongly on the “Kill Bramblestar’s body side”, so i think Squirrelflight won’t choose him as a deputy. So that leaves the brave Dark Forest spy, Ivypool. In the books, her opinion about Tigerstar’s takeover isn’t really show. Plus, the fandom loves Ivypool so much more than Lionblaze, and the Erins want to write something that the fandom likes. So, i think Ivypool will be the next deputy of ThunderClan.

BUT HOW WILL WE GET TO A WAR?

I think that the tensions are definetely going to turn into a war. But how?
I suspect that the preparation for a rebellion had begun by Berryheart and her followers. Berryheart currently is a minor antagonist in this arc, but she could turn into a major antagonist too easily. She only does her things for the good of her Clan, but she went too far in this process. So, my theory is that she is meeting with RiverClan cats because they agree in one thing: Tigerstar shouldn’t be in RiverClan. (Nightheart and Sunbeam watched one of these meetings where Splashtail literally confessed that he is manipulating Frostpaw) They made an alliance to drive out Tigerstar from RiverClan, but there is one thing that Berryheart doesn’t know: that Splashtail is using her and her beliefs to become RiverClan’s leader. Splshtail knows that if a civil war breaks out in ShadowClan, Tigerstar will have to leave RiverClan to solve his own problems. With that, Splashtail, Duskfur, and the other conspirators would have a chance to take over RiverClan.
I also think that Splashtail and his team tried to influence Leafstar too. On the Gathering where the Clans confront Tigerstar about his actions, Nightheart mentions that some cat must have told Leafstar what happened. But who? It was them, the conspirators. They told SkyClan’s leader because they wanted to win her support.

And the war can break out anytime. I think that it would begin in the next book, Thunder, because Berryheart will get furious when she learns that Sunbeam has left ShadowClan, so she will decide it’s time to act: along her followers, she will start the rebellion.

THE SIDES

I think that Berryheart’s rebellion will cause war among the Clans, because the Clans will be joining to the two sides. But who will make an allience with who?

Flaxfoot: I’m not sure about him because he told Berryheart about what Sunbeam told to him. He might be siding with Berryheart.
Sparrowtail: Will he choose his mate or his Clan?
WindClan: I think they will either stay out of the war or they will be fighting on Tigerstar’s side(even with WindClan’s help, Tigerstar’s supporters are still outnumbered)

ThunderClan: Squirrelflight strongly disagrees with Tigerstar’s takeover in RiverClan, and now that she is the leader of ThunderClan, she will attack Tigerstar in hopes driving him out from RiverClan.

SkyClan: Leafstar will see this event as an opportunity to make Tigerstar leave from RiverClan, and because of that, she and her Clan will fight aganist Tigerstar.

RiverClan: It’s obvious: they want to get rid of Tigerstar. They will obviously side with the rebels and the other Clans.

And as I mentioned before, Tigertar and his supporters are overpowered by the rebels (Even with WindClan’s help). If WindClan sides with them, it would be only because the authors might want to give a chance to Tigerstar to win.

MY OPINION:

I personally agree with Tigerstar, RiverClan needs help. If there will be a war with the sides I predicted, I will be siding with Tigerstar and his followers (as long as Tigerstar uses his new position for good). I’m thinking this not only because I agree with Tigerstar, but because if the rebels win, RiverClan will be free, and the murderers in RiverClan would be able to claim the position of a leader, and that would only bring more sufffering to the Clans.
Unfortunatlely, I’m sure in a case of a war, Tigerstar will lose, and then he will be forced to give up RiverClan’s leadership. This will lead to that one of the murderers will become RiverClan’s new leader, and when the Clans realizes his/her intentions, it will be too late: they will have to fight aganist the new evil leader.
This sounds like a plot that the Erins would write, does it? That’s why am I so sure about this thing.

The Tigerstar(the first) descendents…Some of them became evil….Some of them stayed on the right path…What will the second Tigerstar choose?
