My opinion on characters by Wishpaw

Wishpaw shares their opinions on some characters from the series.

Hi it’s Wishpaw/heart here with my first article! My first article is that I will be using a warrior cat character canon generator to pick a character to explain my opinion about. (Note: I only read up to book three of the broken code and a couple super editions and bonus stories so I might not know as much.)

Okay let’s go!

1. Jayfeather

One of my favorite characters. He was a great character to read about and it always was so detailed about the description of the scenery and what was happening around him in the moments of Po3 and OoTS. I also really loved the relationships between him and Briarlight, him and Cinderheart, and him and Half Moon. He also stayed and important character and never really got bland after him main arc(s) and just acted like a normal background cat instead he had more talking moments unlike other former protagonist.

2. Cinderpelt

Again a character that may make in on my top ten favorite characters. I always loved her but I never really called my favorite but she definitely is one of my many favorite characters from the series. Her relationships with Firestar I liked, Fireheart then. I definitely am a shipper of them. I also loved how she was so wise in A New Prophecy and her death was incredibly sad. I’m sure I cried then.

3. Brightheart

I really have no opinion. She such a nice, loving, and caring cat all through the series. Even though Jayfeather is one of my favorite characters I really felt bad for Brightheart when he was so rude to her. Like dude you’re fully blind and you’re getting mad you got a mentor like you. Do you wanna die a suffering apprentice who can’t do normal battle moves or be taught battle moves by a half blind cat who can help you become a good warrior. He didn’t become a warrior anyways but still. Another thing is the relationship between Cloudtail and her is so sweet in the first series.

4. Whitestorm

He was an amazing cat and warrior. Also here is one thing no one really takes attention to, he is WindClan from his great-grandfather, Eaglestorm who was full WindClan which makes him 12.5% WindClan pretty much. Since Eaglestorm was 100% Windflight would be 50% since his mother is ThunderClan so it would cut in half then Thistleclaw would be 25% then see Whitestorm would be 12.5%. He really was a great warrior but I could swear he had like 2 mates and I have no idea why. He really did deserve to be deputy after Tigerclaw so then Whitestorm would’ve been the leader then Firestar could’ve waited awhile like a patient Whitestorm.

5. Breezepelt

I dunno. No strong feelings about him. I really don’t like him a lot. I mean it’s not his fault it’s his dads, don’t get me wrong I love Crowfeather though. I mean BreezexHeather is good though. But he really was just a vicious cat.

3. Rosetail

I mean she really wasn’t mentions a lot. But she is an okay cat. But she was a little tom crazy and a total matchmaker. (Just watched some videos abt her bc I was bored so yeah.) She really did push Bluefur and Thrushpelt and just assumed Oakhearts kits were his. But yeah I mean she is a good cat. But I felt like she could’ve used those matchmaker skills on herself so yeah.

4. Squirrelflight

Probably could make it on my favorites. She is such a strong character and has so much fire in her and attitude. I do feel she was/is in a toxic relationship between Ashfur and Brambleclaw. Ashfur in The Broken Code was really controlling and toxic and Brambleclaw was just a toxic cat after Po3 when he found out and never really accepted her opinions but other than that I really like her strong personality.

5. Bramblestar

Oop, Just who I was talking about. I mean he is a good cat but I just don’t really like him as much as I would with other characters. He really was toxic with Squirrelflight as I was saying. I honestly have nothing else to say about him.

6. Spottedleaf

No strong feelings against her I just don’t like her as a character. To be fair I have not read any other books with her in it like Spottedleaf’s Heart. I honestly felt she was a little clingy with Firestar. I mean she new him for like a day and he probably would act different if she lived.

7. Ivypool

One of my favorite character. Can totally relate with her. Both have a sister who’s the center of the world and gets all the attention then we’re just thrown aside. She honestly deserved the powers than her needy sister. But she would’ve have been who she was with her powers so yeah. Also the mentor and mother to another of my favorite characters.

8. Ashfur

Not evil. Just really insane. He just went through a lot. Like Yellowfang said, his only problem was loving too much. Also Tigerstar killed his mom with the dogs, got rejected by Squirrelflight for Tigerstar’s son, and much more during his life. Also had Hawkfrost convince him to do some things like with Firestar. I mean he just was misunderstood but what he did in The Broken Code was just wrong on way to many levels.

9. Twigbranch

One of my favorite characters. I really liked her. Her sister was a tad dramatic when they were apprentices and Twigbranch was held hostage but ThunderClan is her home and that’s what she eventually realizes. I really like the relationship between her and Finleap until the last book of aVoS I felt like Finleap was a little pushy or something like that, I can’t remember.

10. Tigerstar

He’s would’ve have been a villain if some things in his life. Starting at the beginning. His father left him to be a kittypet! So he doesn’t have a father figure and he must’ve been bullied about it because his father was leader too. Next Thistleclaw, this cat is just naturally evil, I’m pretty sure nothing happened in his life so he could become as toxic as he is. Of course he had to be his mentor, if any other warrior could be his mentor I’m sure he wouldn’t be as evil as he is. If Thistleclaw was not involved in his life he probably would just like fighting a lot instead of trying to murder ten thousand cats. Also Goosefeather helped with this. This insane medicine cat is acting like this is a monster or a cat with rabies so he probably felt he had to prove him wrong. So yeah that’s it I kinda do like him as a character but I wrote a lot about him. I just have strong feelings about his life. ALSO (of of course more) everyone says there is a “Tigerstar Effect” it really isn’t him it’s Thistleclaw because he mentored him way more than battle moves and hunting, he mentored him in being pure evil with no choice.
