The Clans Medicine Cats, Part 2 by Lynxpaw

Lynxpaw finishes their list of the medicine cats in the modern clans.

Hi! Lynxpaw/claw here again. In this article, I will go through all the Medicine Cats from ShadowClan and ThunderClan, from the canon ones, to the Medicine Cat we can track the longest back in time (their mentors, mentors, mentor…, as long back we can go.) I will look how many percent is she-cats and how many is toms. Let’s get started!

This is the part two of my article about all the modern Clan’s Medicine Cats. If you are going to read this, you probably would want to read part one so you understand everything. Okay, lets continue. (Spoilers for all arcs)

ShadowClan
My favourite Clan! Their latest Medicine Cat is Shadowsight, a dark grey tabby tom with amber eyes. His mentor is Puddleshine, a sleek-furred brown tom with white splotches. Puddleshine’s mentor was actually Leafpool from ThunderClan, but the ShadowClan cat who was Medicine Cat before him was Littlecloud, a very small brown tabby tom with blue eyes, who trained to become a warrior until Cinderpelt saved him from a sickness. He got inspired and wanted to learn to heal. Littlecloud actually had an apprentice, Flametail, a flame-coloured tom with bright, blue eyes. But he drowned before Littlecloud died.
Okay 4-0 to the toms… lets continue
Littlecloud’s mentor was Runningnose, a small grey and white tom with amber eyes. His mentor was Yellowfang, a dark grey she-cat with orange eyes and a flat face, who first was a warrior. She was Medicine Cat when Rusty joined ThunderClan.
Sagewhisker, a white she-cat with blue eyes, was Yellowfang’s mentor.
5-2 to the toms! The she-cats are catching up.
The last one was Redthistle, a dark ginger she-cat and Sagewhisker’s mentor.
That makes it 5-3 to the toms. 3/8 she-cats and 5/8 toms. 37,50% are she-cats and 62,50% are toms. You wouldn’t think that ShadowClan had the most even numbers yet, now a days they only have toms… Go Yellowfang, Sagewhisker and Redthistle!

ThunderClan
NOW we do ThunderClan. Their latest Medicine Cat is Alderheart, a dark ginger tom with amber eyes. Alderheart tried training as a warrior at first, but he was better of as a Medicine Cat. His mentor is Jayfeather, a grey tabby tom with blind, blue eyes. Just like Alderheart, Jayfeather tried training as a warrior. Leafpool was Jayfeather’s mentor and mother, because she broke the code when she fell in love with Crowfeather from WindClan and had his kits. Leafpool was a small, brown tabby she-cat with white chest and paws and amber eyes. She was always destined to be a Medicine Cat.
Okay, it’s 2-1 to the toms. (I know you are excited about the results 🙂
Leafpool’s mentor was Cinderpelt, a small dark grey she-cat with pale blue eyes. She was, unlike Leafpool, never destined to be a Medicine Cat. She trained as a warrior at first, but when she was hit by a car on the Thunderpath, she got crippled and needed to become Yellowfang’s apprentice. Yellowfang (dark grey she-cat with orange eyes and a flat face) was ShadowClan’s Medicine Cat at first. But Brokenstar accused her for killing Brightflower’s (her own mother’s) kits, and exiled her. Yellowfang found refuge in ThunderClan and stayed there.
Spottedleaf was a dark tortoiseshell and white she-cat with amber eyes, and she was ThunderClan’s Medicine Cat before Yellowfang. But she never trained an apprentice, and when she died, killed by Clawface, ThunderClan didn’t have a Medicine Cat. They were lucky that Yellowfang came along (you can hear that I love Yellowfang). Spottedleaf was also ThunderClan’s Medicine Cat when Rusty joined them, and she trained as a warrior apprentice at first.
The she-cats are leading 4-2! Wonder what will happen?
Featherwhisker was Spottedleaf’s Medicine Cat mentor. He was a pale silver-grey tom with amber eyes, a plumy tail and long, feathery whiskers. His mentor was Goosefeather, a speckled grey tom with pale blue eyes and, a unique gift/curse (what do you think?) for seeing into the future and speak to dead cats. Goosefeather’s mentor was Cloudberry, a white she-cat with yellow eyes and a broad, flattened muzzle. She was born into RiverClan, but because Mapleshade killed the ThunderClan Medicine Cat, she became ThunderClan’s new one.
It’s so exciting! 4-2 to the she-cats has become 5-4 to the she-cats! Who will win? Keep reading…

Ravenwing was the ThunderClan Medicine Cat before Cloudberry. He was a small, thick-furred black tom with dark blue eyes and was killed by Mapleshade because he exposed her secret about her kits being half-Clan. His mentor was Oatspeckle. We don’t know what Oatspeckle looked like, but Vicky likes a fan’s interpretation: a golden she-cat with creamy mottles and pale golden eyes. Because the Warriors Wiki doesn’t say anything else, i will go with this description.

That means that there are 6/11 she-cats and 5/11 toms. 45,45% are toms and 54,55% are she-cats. ThunderClan is the most even Clan! They also have the most known Medicine Cats.

A Fact:
5/11 ThunderClan Medicine Cats, that we know about, have trained as warriors (Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, Cinderpelt, Jayfeather and Alderheart)

So RiverClan was the most uneven Clan and ThunderClan was the most even in the number of Medicine Cats.
WindClan has the least known Medicine Cats and ThunderClan, (why am I not surprised?) the most.
