Hi guys, I’m Sparrowstrike (your mighty Detective/jk), and welcome back in another article! Today, I will give warrior names to characters from my favourite series, T. J. Hooker! It’s a very old crime series (it was filmed in the 80’s), but it’s REALLY, REALLY good! I really recommend to watch it! It’s so good!
So, what are we waiting for? Let’s get started!
T. J. Hooker
His full name is Sgt. Thomas Jefferson Hooker, but in the series, NO ONE ever called him like that, instead, everyone calls him Hooker.
He is a veteran cop hardened by divorce and the shooting death of his partner. He was a detective in the department but after the tragic event, he asked to be put back in uniform.
Hooker takes his job seriously, sometimes maybe too seriously. He is always there to help everyone in trouble, and he never fears to risk his life for others. He does what he thinks is right, even if it means disobeying orders.
I think his name would be Bravestrike for his courage, compassion and strong will.
Officer Vince Romano
Vince Romano is Hooker’s young partner and friend(Hooker is also a kind of mentor to him). He has a cheerful nature and he likes to tease Hooker about…about literally everything, but he is very impulsive. Because of that, I think Blizzard- is a good prefix for Romano.
He is tall and he has got blue eyes and very dark hair. So what would his suffix be? Maybe -night? Or -dark? Since Blizzardnight and Blizzarddark sound a little weird to me, I will swap the parts of the name. Soooo…Darkblizzard it is!
Officer Stacy Sheridan
Stacy Sheridan shows up first at the start of Season 2, and she is my favourite character! I like her so much!
She is the Captain’s young daughter, but she refuses any kind of preferential treatment, and she works hard, just like every other officer. She is the friend of Romano, and they like to tease each other all the time.
Stacy has a very kind, caring, cheerful and funny personality, and she is also quick-thinking, brave, and competitive(she and Romano compete in everything).
I belive the best prefix for her is Squirrel-, because she really reminds me of a smart, quick, and lively squirrel! And for her suffix…Yes! I’ve got it! The perfect name for her is Squirrelspark!
Officer Jim Corrigan
Jim Corrigan appears first near the end of Season 2. He is Stacy’s partner, and I think he is a very cool guy! He is the calmest one from our cop gang, and he always stands up for what he belives in, but he seems to have some trust issues.
Corrigan never loses his head, and he stays calm even in the most dangerous situations. Because of that, I think that his prefix would be Stone-, and for his suffix…Well, it’s got to be -hawk because of his calm, brave, but sometimes distrustful personality! So Stonehawk it is!
Captain Dennis Sheridan
Captain Sheridan is the Captain of the department, and is the father of Stacy. He isn’t really a main character, but he has a role in the story, so I will give a name to him.
He is tall and he has got blue eyes and white hair, so I think his prefix would be Snow-. Well I could end this here by saying that his suffix is -star because he is the Captain (Captain Snowstar, hehe). But I still want to give him a warrior name, so let’s find a suffix.
He is also very calm, even under pressure. He often has arguments with Hooker about what they should or shouldn’t do, and he often has to remind Hooker that his hands are tied: he can’t act without permission.
I belive Snowfrost/star would be the best for him.
So that’s all, folks! Thank you for reading, and remember, this series is VERY VERY good! You can watch it anytime!
Goodbye!

Nice article!!!
Great article! So much thought put into the names :] (First?)
This was a great article! 🙂 T.J. Hooker certainly sounds like an entertaining watch!
I’m also a fan of detective shows so I’ll share some recommendations with you in my comment!
Firstly, I would highly recommend Perry Mason! There are some elements of the show’s age that can be distressing (as it was aired in 1957, racism and outdated-gender stereotypes can be present throughout). So, watch with discretion.
Father Brown is also a great choice if the court-room aspect of Perry Mason isn’t what you’d like! Be warned, of course, that Father Brown tends to have heavier subject material, and characters are sometimes of a dubious morality which might not be suitable if you’re looking for a light watch.
And lastly, I would highly recommend the Youtube Channel Bitesized Audio Classics, there are plenty of old 19th – 20th century detective stories on there, all of very good recording quality! 🙂
Of course, as always, use discretion when discerning if a piece of media might be appropriate for you, and ask a trusted family member if you aren’t sure!
