Hi! Lynxpaw/claw here again with yet another article. (This is probably my tenth.) I thought that I would list 20 completely random facts about warriors, so let’s get started!

1. Molewhisker was named after Molepaw.
This isn’t that weird. Poppyfrost was Molepaw’s sister. When he died, she was probably really sad. So when she had kits with Berrynose, they decided to name their son after Poppyfrost’s brother.

2. Sootfur was killed the same way as his mother.
Willowpelt was killed by a badger in Firestar’s Quest. Sootfur (Sootpaw then) was really sad and blamed himself because he was there. In Sunset, Sootfur was killed in the badger attack.

3. Both Brambleclaw and Tigerheart were named after Tigerstar.
Tawnypelt named Tigerheart/star after her father. I think everyone knows that. But did you know that Brambleclaw/star also was named after his father? It was confirmed in an Erin Hunter Chat that Firestar gave him the -claw suffix because he knew Tigerclaw/star was a good warrior with great skill, and saw the same good qualities in Bramblepaw.

4. Honeyfur is named after Honeyfern.
Honeyfur was Lilyheart’s daughter. Lilyheart was Honeyfern’s little sister. Even though Lilyheart didn’t know her big sister, she had probably heard good things about her, and named her kit in her honour.

5. The first and only litter Ravenwing delivered on his own was Mapleshade’s.
Yeah, Ravenwing had only been solo Medicine Cat for a few moons, when he delivered Mapleshade’s litter. His mentor, Oatspeckle, had died not long ago. Then he died, killed by that queen he had helped, because he betrayed her.

6. There are two Milkfurs.
Milkfur, a grey-and-white tabby she-cat, who was a RiverClan Medicine Cat that mentored Brambleberry, was named after her mother, Milkfur, a white she-cat, who was a RiverClan warrior in Mapleshade’s Vengeance.

7. Leafpool and Firefern are named after each other parents.
Firefern, Leafstar’s daughter, was named after Firestar. Leafpool, Firestar’s daughter, was named after Leafstar. This is a reason I ship LeafFire. They are so cute! Naming their kits after each other, and Leafstar admires Firestar, and often thinks about him in SkyClan’s destiny. LeafFire is so much better than BillyLeaf!

8. Stormfur was named after Crookedstar and Stonefur.
Stormfur was named after his grandfather Crookedstar, who was called Stormkit as a kit, and his mentor Stonefur.

9. Onestar made his sister deputy.
Onestar made his sister, Ashfoot deputy. They were both kits of Stagleap and Wrenflight. They are also littermates to Morningflower.

10. Onestar is Tallstar’s half-nephew.
Wrenflight is Onestar’s mother, and she is Palebird’s daughter. Palebird’s first litter included Tallstar and Finchkit (with Sandgorse). Her second litter included Wrenflight, Rabbitear, Bristlebark and Flytail (with Woollytail). That means that Tallstar and Wrenflight are half-siblings.

11. Lionblaze mated with the reincarnation of the cat that loved his grandfather.
Lionblaze and Cinderheart are mates. Cinderheart is the reincarnation of Cinderpelt, the ThunderClan Medicine Cat that was secretly in love with Lionblaze’s grandfather, Firestar.

12. Sunbeam and Needletail are sisters.
Berryheart and Sparrowtail had Needletail in their first litter, and Sunbeam, Spireclaw and Hollowspring in their second.

13. Jayfeather is named after Feathertail.
Leafpool named Jayfeather after Crowfeather, and Crowfeather named himself after Feathertail.

14. Rootspring and Needleclaw share their suffixes with their mentors.
Dewspring mentored Rootspring and Reedclaw mentored Needleclaw. Needleclaw is also named after her mother’s best friend, Needletail.

15. There are two Ashfurs.
One is an elder from Into the Wild (thin grey tom with green eyes), and the other (pale grey tom with darker flecks and dark blue eyes) is the main villain in The Broken Code.

16. Cinderpelt and Brackenfur were apprenticed before six moons.
In Fire and Ice, Bluestar says that Frostfur’s kits are almost six moons, and that they are ready to be apprenticed. This, however, breaks the Warrior Code. Brackenfur and Cinderpelt are also apprenticed before their littermates, Brightheart and Thornclaw, who probably were apprenticed at around eight moons. Pretty unfair, huh? But maybe Thornclaw and Brightheart had suffered bigger wounds from when they were kidnapped by ShadowClan.

17. Both Silverstream’s and Greystripe’s mothers were “Willows.”
Silverstream’s mother and Crookedstar’s mate was Willowbreeze and Greystripe’s mom was Willowpelt.

18. White- is the most common prefix and -tail is the most common suffix, there are also three cats who share that name: Whitetail (StC), White Tail and Whitetail (WC)
This is the list of characters with the prefix White-:
White Tail, Whiteberry, Whiteclaw, Whitefang, Whitestar, Whitestorm, Whitetail (StC), Whitetail (WC), Whitethroat, Whitewater, Whitewhisker, Whitewing, White-eye. =13 cats.
73 cats has the suffix -tail.

19. Hollyleaf’s suffix was Squirrelflight’s idea.
Squirrelflight asked Firestar to give Hollypaw the suffix -leaf in honour of Leafpool. Firestar thought it was only because of the sisters closeness, but actually it was because Leafpool was Hollyleaf’s mom.

20. The Erins made Rowanclaw Tawnypelt’s mate because they wanted to show that he was a tom.
In TPB, Rowanclaw was listed as a she-cat in the allegiances. To show that it was a mistake, and that he actually was a tom, they made him Tawnypelt’s mate.
