My Opinions on Controversial Ships by Meadowfern

Meadowfern shares their opinions on some ships from the series.

Hihi!! I’m Meadow, and I’m back with a new article, which I attempted to get to 2000 words(and it worked >:D)
Basically in this one I’m just sharing what I think about widely debated Warriors ships 😀
So here we go!

1. Tiger x Dove and Dove x Bumble
Starting with TigerDove, I love this ship!

2. Gray x Silver and Gray x Millie
Let’s start off with Gray x Silver 🙂
I like this ship! I like how it was Silverstream who saved Graystripe and not the other way around in the first place, and it was shown in the books that Silverstream meant everything to Graystripe when he was younger.
When Silver died it was really sad, and Graystripe took it to himself to bury her, making sure her body was right where she liked to be most.
They both cared for each other so much and Graystripe was ready to fight even Firestar, his best friend, for Silverstream.

Time for Gray x Millie!
I also like this ship >:)
Millie willingly left her beloved Twoleg for Graystripe, and they both cared for each other throughout the journey back to the Clans.
While they were living in ThunderClan they were always super supportive and sweet to each other, and I loved seeing their playful interactions when they got older and were in the elder’s den 😀
And when Graystripe reunited with Millie in StarClan it was so cute 😀

3. Feather x Crow and Leaf x Crow(and Night x Crow)
This has to be the most debated topic in Warriors by far 😛

So let’s begin with Feather x Crow!
Ever since I read TNP and read Feathertail and Crowfeather’s interactions, I loved this ship so much <3
Feathertail had always been welcoming to Crowpaw since the first day she met him. Crowpaw returned that back by always going to her whenever he wanted to talk to someone or ask a question. Eventually they became pretty close friends and always stuck together, sometimes going hunting alone together when the others were sleeping!
Crowpaw always seemed to be the one to help Feathertail when she was in trouble, like when he saved her from falling off a mountain cliff, being attacked by a dog, and from being seen by a Tribe cat. They liked to tease each other about it later and it was so sweet to read about in my opinion <3
I think Feathertail’s sacrifice was more for Crowfeather than for the Tribe, since he was being cornered by Sharptooth 😢
It was heartbreaking when Feathertail died(even though I had spoiled it for myself by reading the Ultimate Guide first lol), and Crowfeather was obviously devastated and sat by the spot where she was buried every time he travelled back to the waterfall.
He even chose to name himself after her, and never stopped thinking of her when they went back to the Clans, as we saw in Crowfeather’s Trial.
Overall, these two always made sure to support each other when Feathertail was living, and obviously loved each other enough to sacrifice anything for each other, including their lives.
(Also as a little defense towards them: their age gap isn’t big, Crowfeather was about to become a warrior just before they decided to go on the journey, and Feathertail had only been a warrior for a short time when she met him! And I know Vicky(I believe) said that Feathertail would have probably chosen RiverClan over Crowfeather if she had lived, but 1. she didn’t survive, so we never know what could have happened, and 2. all the evidence in the books where they interacted pointed to a future where they would have a forbidden relationship back in the Clans.)

Onto Leaf x Crow now!
So as you probably think after reading the FeatherCrow part, yes, I dislike Leaf x Crow 😛
So the first thing I have to say is LeafCrow in the beginning was actually okay with me, I actually can relate to how they fell in love a lot!
But after they ran away together and came back, things started getting bad in my opinion.
When Leafpool became pregnant with her kits it bothered me about how hostile she was to him from then on(it’s understandable tho!) and started the rift between them that would eventually lead on to become bigger and bigger. And then there was the drama in the PoT arc, where Crowfeather told Leafpool at a Gathering he no longer felt anything for her and everything he did with her was a mistake.
From then on, all their interactions were them being unfriendly and cold to each other, and it obviously caused a lot of hurt on both sides 🙁
And while they eventually made up, all this made me dislike the ship a lot…
In Crowfeather’s Trial, Crowfeather stated his feelings for Leafpool had faded, and he was sure that Leafpool’s had too, and they talked more like friends whenever they saw each other. (Which is why I don’t get the scene in ALitM, but it’s probably an example of the storyline getting mixed up since there’s so many books they can’t remember every single scene they wrote 😛)
Crowfeather was also noticeably grieving when Leafpool died, but it doesn’t immediately mean he still loves her, since friends grieve for each other too!

So now let’s move on to Night x Crow!
This was obviously never true love. Nightcloud really only accepted Crowfeather’s offer because she just wanted a family, and Crowfeather asked in the first place because he needed to prove his loyalty was to the Clan. So as a romantic ship: 👎
But they did care for each other a lot, if only as Clanmates and friends. After they made up and talked about what had happened between them more in depth in Crowfeather’s Trial, I loved the friendship they shared.
So as a platonic ship: 👍

So out of all these ships, I believe Feather x Crow is the best one! <3
Not only did their feelings last from when they met up to some of the latest books, but they are a great pairing! Feathertail brings out the best in Crowfeather and Crowfeather makes Feathertail willing to show her claws, and their personalities really suit each other!!

And lastly: Skystar x Bright Stream, Skystar x Storm, and Skystar x Star Flower
This section should be a bit shorter 😛 Also I haven’t read DotC for a few years so I’m just basing this off of what I remember!

Beginning with Skystar x Bright Stream!
I really like this ship <3
I loved reading their affectionate and cute interactions, and Bright Stream’s death was one of the saddest I had ever read.
Clear Sky couldn’t live with himself after it happened and it was just so heartbreaking, he forever changed from his old self because of this and when he became mates with Storm he was always panicking about if the same thing would happen to her. Every step of the way, from when he first fell in love with Storm to when she died, I’m sure he was thinking of Bright Stream and the amazing family they could have had. 😥
Also that scene(was it when Gray Wing died?) where Bright Stream came down from StarClan and showed Gray Wing the kits she and Clear Sky should have had was too sad and sweet at the same time, but more sad because Clear Sky couldn’t see them…

Now let’s talk about Skystar’s second love of his life, Storm!
So I honestly don’t really like this ship.
It was like Storm threw away what she had with Gray Wing in one second of meeting Clear Sky, and then suddenly she moved in and spent a day with him and then she was already expecting his kits. I just… don’t get it.
And then Storm starts getting angry at Clear Sky for being so overprotective and realizes maybe love at first sight doesn’t always work out. She apologizes to Gray Wing and probably regrets what they could have shared and then runs to the Twolegplace to have her kits, not wanting to have anything to do with the other cats anymore.
And the fact that Clear Sky doesn’t even bother to do anything about it is just weird and I don’t understand??
And in the end he rejects the last memory of her, Thunder, and refuses to even look at him.
This just proves that it definitely wasn’t meant to be a good ship I guess. :/

So… what about Skystar x Star Flower?
Unpopular opinion, but I support this ship!
Okay, yes, this is weird, since Star Flower was in love with Thunder first, and Clear Sky is his father. But there are more positive things to this pairing that outweighs the bad.
Clear Sky first let Star Flower join SkyClan when she needed it most, but we never saw that interaction in the books, it was just described. Which means they probably had some time together that wasn’t shown in the books and then fell in love, so it wasn’t exactly rushed.
Star Flower always comforted and encouraged Clear Sky when he was feeling down or had doubts. She truly understood him and why he made the decisions other cats would have questioned.
He also always went to Star Flower for guidance, and when Slash kidnapped her when she was pregnant he was deeply worried, not just for the kits, but for her as well. He was willing to do anything to get her back! Having kits with Star Flower also helped him learn how to be a better father and understand how Thunder must have felt with how Clear Sky treated him.
Overall both were great mates to each other!!

I believe out of all these ships Skystar x Bright Stream would have worked out best, and I hope they are united in StarClan. But Skystar and Star Flower were mates for the rest of their lives and definitely absolutely loyal to each other and their family, and it was the one relationship that worked out for both in the end. So while Skystar x Storm definitely wasn’t a great pairing, the other two were in my opinion! 🙂
