Hi! Lynxpaw/claw here with another article! But I’m going to write this article with the help of Rosepaw/fern, Hazelpaw/shine, Pantherpaw/frost, and Owlkit!
I have interviewed them about their opinions on Leafpool and Squirrelflight, and lastly, I’ll share my opinion. Let’s start!

Neutral.

What do you think of Leafpool?
Neutral.

Who is the best mate for Squirrelflight? Why?
Bramblestar, because even though he’s bad, Ashfur is worse. Any relationship that ends the way SquirrelXAsh did is obviously an abusive relationship.

Who is the best mate for Leafpool? Why?
Not Crowfeather.

Squirrelflight.

What do you think of Squirrelflight?
I love her!! She was so sassy and confident as an apprentice and she was such a good mother in PoT!

What do you think of Leafpool?
She’s fine I guess. I liked her a lot when she was an apprentice, but after she got her name idk…

Who is the best mate for Squirrelflight? Why?
I don’t think she needs a mate! She can certainly take care of herself, but if I had to choose one, Shrewpaw. He is so much better than Bramble or Ash!

Who is the best mate for Leafpool? Why?
Mothwing! Partly because it’s a lesbian ship, partly cuz Mothwing is so kind to Leafpool

Leafpool vs Squirrelflight, who is the best? Why?
I think they both have good qualities, but I like Squilf the best! I loved reading her pov in TNP, she’s probably my favourite character!

What do you think of Squirrelflight?
She’s a good character, but I don’t immensely like/hate her. I do love her sassy and fiery personality, though! In TNP I did think she was kinda cute, and I enjoyed reading her thoughts!

What do you think of Leafpool?
I feel like she’s this strong anchor for cats to grasp and hold onto (sorry if that didn’t make sense, I’m super tired right now). She is really calm and down-to-earth, quite the opposite of her littermate. I did like her more as an apprentice, though. She seemed a bit more passionate about her role as a med cat and maybe a bit more nervous and anxious. I thought that it added more to her personality.

Who is the best mate for Squirrelflight? Why?
Shrewpaw, for sure! I mean, Brambleclaw was a pretty decent mate, but BrambleSTAR was not the best. And for Ashfur, I just think he had an obsession on Squirrelflight, not love. But Shrewpaw, he seemed to actually have a really good friendship with Squirrelflight! And she seemed to really enjoy his company. I feel like they could’ve been amazing mates!

Who is the best mate for Leafpool? Why?
Honestly, I don’t know. CrowXLeaf was pretty cute from what I remember (it’s been a while since I read the books!), but LeafXMoth was really cute too! I don’t really have a preference; I feel like both the relationships are true and well-developed.

Leafpool vs Squirrelflight, who is the best? Why?
I think that they are both really good characters, but I do like Leafpool better. She’s calm, soft, smart, and caring. Exactly what I want to be.I do really like Squirrelflight’s sass, though! But Leafpool is just more well-developed, I feel like. So, if I had to choose, then I would pick Leafpool. *No offense to Squirrelflight lovers, though! I think she’s a good character too!*

Bad, she was better as an apprentice.

What do you think of Leafpool?
She’s okay. I found her a bit untrustworthy when she lied to her kits though.

Who is the best mate for Squirrelflight? Why?
Bramblestar. He’s experienced, he’s a leader, and as they said: Squirrelflight needed someone to match her fire, not tame it. But that became dirt when she became sensible, I didn’t like her after that.

Who is the best mate for Leafpool? Why?
Crowfeather. Because he’s cool, and i personally find LeafxMoth weird because they, in my opinion, are just friends.

Leafpool vs Squirrelflight, who is the best? Why?
Leafpool. Squirrelflight’s character was ruined, her personality, her search for adventure. WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?!??!?!

What do you think of Squirrelflight?
Well, I liked her very much as an apprentice in TNP, and in PoT, she was my favourite character! But then she became weird. I hated her in Squirrelflight’s hope, because she was so whiny, and didn’t listen to Bramblestar. So, sometimes I like her, and sometimes I hate her.

What do you think of Leafpool?
She’s good. I’m pretty neutral. I didn’t like that she ran away with Crowfeather, and later lied to their kits. Like Owlkit said, she seemed a little untrustworthy. But yeah, I like her.

Who is the best mate for Squirrelflight? Why?
I say the same thing as Hazelpaw: She doesn’t need a mate! She can take care of herself! But if I need to choose one, I choose Shrewpaw. They seemed to be good friends, and like a better ship than StormXSquirrel, AshXSquirrel or BrambleXSquirrel. Brambleclaw was good, but like Pantherpaw said, BramleSTAR was not the best. He ruined her character! Squirrelflight was my favourite before they became mates.

Who is the best mate for Leafpool? Why?
LeafXMoth FOREVER! It’s one of my favourite ships! They seem to really care about each other! I honestly didn’t know it was a ship before I found BlogClan, but now I know about it, and it makes completely sense!
CrowXLeaf is also a really good ship. It’s the best canon Across-Clan ship, in my opinion.

Leafpool vs Squirrelflight, who is the best? Why?
Squirrelflight in TNP and PoT. Leafpool in every other book. Like I explained, Squirrelflight was my favourite character in those arcs. But I think I like Leafpool a little more, if I look at all books.
I’m pretty neutral on Leafpool, but what I feel about Squirrelflight shift often.
