hey yall! Feather here. It is my first article here at BlogClan so tell me what you think in the comments. Today I’m gonna talk about cats who deserved better. I’m just going to spew out random cats from every series sooo if you haven’t read a majority of the Warrior books 🚫BEWARE🚫 but anyways let’s get started!

Crookedstar
Every time I read crookedstar’s promise I cry. It’s soooo sad!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭First Rainflower then Shellheart then Willowbreeze and his kits then Oakheart’s trust? Like when he was a kit with mapleshade, he made his promise, but later he didn’t know his life turned into a Shakespeare play!! But to be more specific, it began with Stormkit he decided to convince his brother to go for a “walk” out of the camp. When they exited camp, they found Goosefeather, and Stormkit was frightened and tripped and broke his jaw when they got back to camp, his mother, rainflower was terrified and re-named him Crookedkit 🙁 later he went to moonstone and before he got there he got lost in a cornfield blah blah blah got rescued blah blah blah and when he decided to come home he found a supermega evil cat (she who must not be named) and made him a promise and when he grew up he began to regret it and took it back and supermega evil cat made all of the cats he loved slide away from him one by one. Talk about sad.

Bluestar
This time no supermega evil cat, just evil. She was apprenticed early with her mentor, Stonepelt. After a supersad battle, her mom was killed and Stonepelt retired, so Sunfall became Bluepaw’s new mentor. After becoming a warrior, Bluefur raised Whitekit, after the death of her sister (ANOTHER death!)because of a Thunderpath accident while chasing off ShadowClan trespassers, and Bluefur fell for a Riverclan warrior, Oakheart, just for him to be taken away from her, and becoming pregnant with his kits. At first, she raised Mistykit, Stonekit, and Mosskit in ThunderClan with Trushpelt acting as their father; however, to become deputy instead of the evil Thistleclaw, who she thought would destroy ThunderClan with his kooky bloodthirsty ideas, she gave up her kits to Oakheart to live in RiverClan, and on the journey there, Mosskit died from the coldness. ANOTHER tragedy!!!!

Yellowfang
This one is just mostly bad luck. I don’t usually do this but boo starclan on this! Growing up she had a very very weird ability that made her feel other cats’ss pain and this combined with a sorta feeling of herbs to use in each injury attracted the attention of ShadowClan’s medicine cat, Sagewhisher. While completing her training, she became mates with Raggedpelt (after several tragic fights)and bore him one surviving kit, of three. (then they got in another tragic fight and Raggedpelt said bye-bye to her) She gave up her son and let the clan believe that Foxheart the foxheart was the kit’s mother. She continued in her position as ShadowClan’s medicine cat. She watched her son become a leader following his father’s death which was caused by brokenstupidface. Brokenstar later exiles her from the Clan after blaming her for the death of two ShadowClan kits. Her own Mother’s, no less!

Mapleshade
Well, I guess she scored the worst luck of that generation but she is still supermega evil. She started out as a BIG StarClan believer then she started hanging out with RiverClan Appledusk, then stuff started to go downhill. You’ll NEVER guess what happened next… Yup. She got pregnant (sighhhh) and claimed that they were the newly deceased deputy’s (I think) so the story goes that after the kits were born, the med cat of Thunder clan saw an omen that Appledusk was the father the maple got exiled with her kits and all sorts of bad stuff happened. She went to RiverClan to see if Appledusk still loved her and would let her stay in RiverClan, but on the way, her kits drowned. DROWNED!!!! (no she didn’t go insane yet) so she went to RiverClan and begged for shelter but they *ahem Appledusk* refused THAT turned her insane then she killed and killed and killed some more until all of her kits were “avenged” Then she died and traumatized some of the descendants of cats that were mean (?) to her.

Brightheart
Not as bad as the others but still, TRAGEDY-ish just the first half of her life. When Bluestar refused to give Brightpaw and Swiftpaw their warrior names, she and Swiftpaw went to look for the dogs that tormented Snakerocks in an attempt to prove themselves. As you probably know, Swiftpaw was killed and half of Brightpaw’s face was ripped up, causing life-lasting scars on her face. Because of this, Bluestar gave her the name Lostface as a reminder that Starclan had allowed the tragedy to happen, much to the dismay of some of her Clanmates. However, after Firestar became leader, she was renamed Brightheart, to show that she was no longer Lostface, and to honor her courage and growth. Brightheart’s mate, Cloudtail, rekindled her broken spirit, and they had two litters of kits together. Only one that sort of has a happy ending.
