What might have happened Squirrelflight and Leafpool didn’t exist by Stonekit

Stonekit wonders how much Squirrelflight and Leafpool have influenced the story of Warriors.

This article has spoilers for the New Prophecy, because I haven’t read any further, so no spoilers please from later arcs.

Squirrelflight and Leafpool are Firestar and Sandstorm’s kits. Squirrelflight’s mentor was Dustpelt, while Leafpool’s mentor was Cinderpelt (the medicine cat).

The clans would probably be dead because Squirrelpaw went on the journey to the sun – drown place and on that journey, Tawnypelt got bitten by rats and would have died if it wasn’t for Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw’s help. Later into the journey, Squirrelpaw accidentally fell down a cliff, and if she didn’t exist, the other cats on the journey wouldn’t have found Midnight which means they wouldn’t have gone to the mountains, Feathertail wouldn’t have died, and the Tribe would be killed by Sharptooth. Feathertail wouldn’t have died, so Crowfeather might have a different suffix, and Feathertail would be his mate. Because of this, he and Leafpool wouldn’t have been mates, and Cinderpelt wouldn’t have died. Even if Leafpool was Crowfeather’s mate, the badgers wouldn’t have attacked if they hadn’t moved territories, which means Sootfur wouldn’t have died.
Stormfur wouldn’t have met Brook, and the questing cats would have come back to the forest without knowing about what the Twolegs were doing. The cats would have had the common sense to move territories, but they probably wouldn’t have a Moonpool in their new territory, and even if they did, Leafpool wouldn’t have found the Moonpool, and leaders would not get nine lives. More cats would die because of this, and the Clans would collapse.

Leafpool helped the cats escape from the Twolegs when they captured cats that entered the forest, so if she didn’t, Cody wouldn’t have helped ThunderClan, and Cloudtail, Brightheart, Gorsetail, Mistyfoot and many other Clan cats, would never come home. Mistyfoot was the deputy of RiverClan, so Hawkfrost would probably be the new deputy. If he was, he would become leader, and the Clan would be living under Hawkfrost’s and Tigerstar’s rule. Both would try to rope in Brambleclaw too, and he would be caught up in their evil schemes.
