Aspenpaw takes a look at Rootspring.
Hello BlogClan! This will be my second article, and it will be all about Rootspring! I took it as a challenge when I heard there were no articles about only Rootspring, so here it is!
*SPOILER ALERT* If you have not read TBC and do not want spoilers, please do not read this article! I don’t want to spoil the entire arc for you.
That being said, it’s time to get on with the article!
First of all, let me just say that I love him! He is my favorite SkyClan character (sorry Violetshine lovers, she just isn’t as good as Rootspring in my opinion.)
I have to say, I wasn’t a big fan of him when we first met him. He seemed a bit… I don’t know, cowardly and letting Kitepaw and Turtlepaw push him around too much. He definitely became better throughout the first book, and once I got to the cliffhanger ending with Bramblestar’s ghost I just loved him. He also has an amazing name, family, and powers. Plus his relationship with Bristlefrost is so cute!
It was just a little weird when Firestar took over his body to fight Darkstripe, especially with all the Ashfur-Bramblestar stuff going on, but at least Firestar asked and gave it back once he was done, unlike Ashfur who just stayed inside Bramblestar’s body for however long he wanted it. Ashfur is so creepy, but he makes such a good villain. Sorry, I got off topic. Back to Rootspring!
He definitely didn’t deserve to lose Bristlefrost in the Dark Forest, but sadly in Warriors (and real life) everybody loses things that they love, some more brutal, but it happens to everyone. I wish he could have had some way to say goodbye because the saddest deaths are the abrupt ones that of course the reader saw coming but the other characters didn’t. Bristlefrost’s death heavily impacted him as we could see in the remaining chapters of A Light in the Mist.
It’s time to wrap up this messy Rootspring Article. I would just like to remind everyone that what I said at the beginning about Violetshine does not mean that I don’t love her, she is definitely a close second, don’t worry. And (this can’t be right) apparently she doesn’t have an article about her either? I need to write one! But thank you for reading my article! It means so much since this is only my second article. Thank you so much!
