Why I feel bad for Gray Wing by Rubyshine

Hi, It’s Rubyshine! For this article, I am going to be stating why I feel bad for Gray Wing. So, let’s get started!

1. He lost almost all the she-cats he loved
Let’s just think about this for a second. He loved Bright Stream, but his brother became mates with her. Okay, not too bad, Gray Wing just needs to toughen up. Then Bright Stream dies. Okay, Gray Wing has it a little tough. But then he fell in love with Storm, who then also mated with Clear Sky. Now, okay, what is wrong with his brother? Poor Gray Wing. Then Storm dies. Now Gray Wing is crushed. Poor him! Then he loves Turtle Tail. She goes off and mates with a kittypet. POOR GRAY WING! She then comes back to him and mates with him, then gets herself killed. POOR GRAY WING OH MY GOSH!!! So, do you see what I mean? What is going on with Gray Wing’s love life? At least he got Slate. But still. How sad!

2. His brother was cruel to him
So I’m not even going to go into the whole mates thing again, but just look at the paragraph above to see one example. Then you have the whole borders thing. What. Was. Clear. Sky. Thinking?! I know that the borders worked out, but at the time he just made them without any warning. And I don’t really want to get into the whole battle that happened between their two “clans”.

3. He had breathing problems
Gray Wing has had breathing problems ever since the forest fire that he was in. He inhaled too much smoke, therefore leading him to lung problems. It was hard to breathe in the pine forest, which was the location he chose for a while. He was always treated a little poorly ever since, because he couldn’t run for very long and that let to bad results in hunting. I just feel bad that he couldn’t live his best life because of the fire.
