Amberpaw shares their thoughts on some popular characters.
Hi! Amberpaw here with another article! This time, I’m going to be talking about the most common favorite warrior cats, and what my opinion on them is. I will be talking about how bad they are btw, just because I can’t think of anything nice about them that’s entertaining enough for people to read this. This is purely for fun, and for entertainment if you happen to read this.
Okay, first in line is the all-time classic: Bramblestar! Yes, I know that you probably thought Firestar was first, and he is on many lists. But in the ones I found, it’s Bramblestar. And I don’t want to copy others who have made articles similar to this. Also, I’ve collaborated with Swiftiepaw for an article all about Firestar, so I’ve probably said too much about him. OKAY, BRAMBLESTAR TALKING TIME. Bramblestar, in my opinion, is a bad leader. He tried to be Firestar in the books he stars in after he became a leader, but we can all see how that worked out. Bramblestar became a leader too soon, and he even mentions this in his nine-lives ceremony. He is a terrible mate to Squirrelflight, yet he gets a lot of fame. Hmmm, maybe that’s infamy and not fame. He does have a reputation since A Starless Clan, considering that he stepped back and let his deputy, Squirrelflight, ascend to the position. Bramblestar was a good cat in The New Prophecy, with his story kind of interesting. But as he becomes deputy, he really loses some of that personality that many enjoyed. He also became sensible. When did that happen?
Next up: Hollyleaf. I have some *opinions* about her, and here are a few. She’s annoying and hypocritical in PoT, because she always talked about the code, scorning anybody who didn’t follow it. She questions the cat she thought was her father, Brambleclaw, yet looks up to him. She breaks the code, but when her brother, Lionpaw, breaks it, she tells him to stop. But she has some good things about her too. Even though she’s a stickler for the warrior code, she has a great personality in PoT. And even though she unalived Ashfur, he kinda deserved it. She did leave the clan though, making her brothers, Lionblaze and Jayfeather, think she was dead. Why? Because she wasn’t part of the prophecy and unalived Ashfur and said the thing she didn’t want Ashfur to say IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GATHERING. So maybe she had a right to leave. She comes back after helping Ivypool and Dovewing, but everybody in Thunderclan seemed to accept that she was back after Brambleclaw lied to them. Hollyleaf had some negative traits, mostly near the end. She did save Ivypool, unaliving in the process, but that’s really all she did that was heroic of her.
Okay, next is… Ivypool. Ivypool is a beloved character because of her heroic spying in the Dark Forest. Everybody seems to forget that she killed Antpelt twice and almost killed Flametail, who was already dead by the way, and was jealous of her sister, who was in the prophecy. So maybe she wasn’t all that heroic. Many people, including me at first, thought that she was risking her life to spy in the Dark Forest. And she was, sort of. She kept wanting to tell the cats from the clans that the dark forest cats were evil, but she didn’t. It would’ve been fine, especially if she told the cats from Thunderclan. What would have happened? They would have found out she was spying and learned the truth? I’m pretty sure that would have been better. But who knows? They might have turned her in. So Ivypool might have been right to decide not to tell them, especially because Breezepelt actually knew what the dark forest cats were up to, and wanted to be a part of it. Hmmm. I’ll have to reread OoTS.
Please welcome to the stage… Dovewing! Now, I’m not going to say too much about her, especially because her sister is also on this list, just above her, and also there are a lot of Dovewing lovers. But basically, she left her sister and her birth clan, Thunderclan, for a Shadowclan cat, changed her whole personality for Tigerheart, and seems a bit… whiny. But I don’t really know the details off the top of my head, so I won’t say anything else about Dovewing.
Last, but not least, is Violetshine! Violetshine is personally a cat I do not like. Sure, she doesn’t obsess over her parentage like her sister, Twigbranch, but she literally joined rouges that tried to destroy the clans. Just to be with Needletail. Needletail. She was in Shadowclan, then the rouges, then Thunderclan (though that wasn’t really her fault), and then Skyclan. She at least has a personality, and stops her son, Rootspring, from jumping in to save Bristlefrost when she drowns in dark water, but that’s about it. Other than taking Shadowclan cats from the rouges and bringing them into Thunderclan, she doesn’t really do much except attack Twigpaw and clan cats.
That’s it for now, but I might make a part two if I can. If any of these are your favorite cats, please take my opinion with a grain of salt. Don’t listen to any of this, because I just write articles for fun. I hope you continue to enjoy Warrior Cats as it already is. Amberpaw out! >:3
great article! I like a few of those cats, Ivypool and Hollyleaf and Violetshine. PS. I dare you to say something bad about Jayfeather. Go on. Do it! /lh
naurrrr *throws tomatoes at rosie* WHY JAYFEATHER??? /j
*∀ogdes tomatoes* yesss Jayfeather is amazingggg!
yes, I dare you to say something about Jayfeather! /lh
great article!
Jayfeather (as an apprentice) was rude to Brightheart and the Clan even though they were only trying to help him (I still love him tho)
He was rude to Brightheart because she treated him as a helpless kit! And I understand SO MUCH why he hates to be helped when he can do things himself!
Jayfeather as an apprentice could be rude sometimes but i don’t really mind 😛
Yea, he might be grouchy but I kind of think it’s funny sometimes. He’s not that bad and most of the time he’s right about what he says even if he says it in a bad manner.
Jayfeather is flawless, there is nothing bad that anyone can say about him
He’s super grumpy, isn’t that a flaw?!
“GARY STU” /j
That’s not true, he’s grumpy, rude, etc…..
I mean Jayfeather is kinda cranky ngl
But that makes him so amazing!
Jayfeather is a very rude medicine cat and although he just wants the best for his clanmates he still is kind mean to his clanmates, it makes his clanmates feel sad. LIke Nightkit said he was very rude to Brigthheart because he though that she was “Bad” just because half her face was ripped off. He is ok but then when the stick arrives… BEcause of that Seedpaw died!!!! Jayfeather is ok but now I just always know what he is going to say, he is kind of boring to me.
He is rude bc if he would be sweet and caring he would get a depression! He explains that in avos! And he never ASKED Seedpaw to get the stick!
Ok, sorry if I offended you but he is still boring and He brought the stick to the clans. I also do not remember him saying what you said, sorry. You may have a point but he is still not in my top 100 favorites and is still not that good to me. Still sorry if I offended you and this is just my opinion. ರ╭╮ರ
I’m not offended, I am just a Jayfeatherlover who feels called to defend him😛
Exactly. I DARE YOU TO SAY SOMETHING BAD ABOUT JAYFEATHER!
I agreed with honestly everything here lol
Same, for the most part.
I like how Leafpool, Shadowsight, and Tigerheart have all somehow joined the Blog.
Awesome article! I never really thought of those cats that way before, but personally, I like Hollyleaf, maybe because I forgot almost everything about her or something. And I agree with Rosepaw. You should say something bad about Jayfeather >:) not that he’s not a cat I don’t like, but it’s just kinda satisfying to hear popular cats that are kinda celebrities be criticized and proved that they are actually not that great.
I mostly agree, although Ivypool killed Antpelt’s spirit and tried to kill Flametail’s because she wanted to prove herself to the Dark Forest that she was ‘loyal’, so she would actually have a chance of stopping them from killing the whole Clans. I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing.
Ooof she didn’t roast my fav characters 😅.
Great article!
ooooh, who are your favorite characters? >:0
might do a part 2
super unrelated but Happy Birthday!!I don’t think Dovewing is whiny; she was a young cat forced into an important position at a young age, constantly being told by older cats *cough* Jayfeather and Lionblaze and all of StarClan *cough* what her role was. She was forbidden from telling her sister why she was distant with her until Jay and Lion decided she was useful as a spy. The only thing that made her feel free was being with Tigerheartstar, the only cat who would actually listen to her. She tried to make things work with Bumblestripe, but she was unhappy, and when she had Tigerheartstar’s kits that was when she was finally be able to escape ThunderClan’s toxic environment and ended up mostly happy in ShadowClan. So yeah, Dovewing is not whiny for wanting a real childhood.
Also, roast Brackenfur, not because he’s my favorite, but because I want someone to roast him without calling him boring. Let the chaos reign.
Nice article, I kinda disagree with everything except Ivypool and Bramblestar, I think they are both overrated.
I completely agree with you on this (Well, most of it, since I like Ivypool). Also, BRAMBLE STAR IS SO MEAN.LIKE, TREAT SQUIRREL BETTER YOU DON’T DESERVE HER!!!!!!!
#SHREWSQUIRRELFORLIFE
Great article! I don’t blame Violetshine for joining the rogues; she was only a kit and didn’t really know what was good and bad. The only cat in ShadowClan that actually included her was Needletail, meaning she was kind of the one to trust, so I think you shouldn’t blame poor Violetkit.
Amazing, but Violetshine was dragged into the kin first when she was a kit, and when she came back to ShadowClan, everyone was mean to her. Anyway, great article!
Great article!!
So well.. I actually love all of those cats, so I can’t say I agree, but you brought up some great points!!
Okay, since when are Dove and Bramble favorite characters on the blog?(no offense to the bloggers who do like them, it’s just not the most popular opinion) Also, Jayfeather acted like a brat to Brightheart, who didn’t understand what it was like to be blind. On top of that, Bright never got another apprentice, even though she totally deserved it. Jayfeather never even forgave her, and not to mention, but he was very disrespectful towards Twigpaw. Jayfeather mistreating her was one of the reasons why Twigpaw never truly felt accepted in ThunderClan. Also, during the Three saga, we got to see his point of view, and personally he didn’t seem that grumpy, and it didn’t feel like he was being rude. After the Three ended, you really got to see how rude he was to his clanmates. Oh, and speaking of Brightheart, not only did he never forgive her because he was a mean apprentice, he also criticized her for having kits! KITS! He literally told her(this is not a quote) “WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE KITS RIGHT NOW?! ARE YOU CRAZY?! IT’S NOT LIKE YOU AREN’T IN CHARGE OF THIS SORT OF STUFF!” He completely disrespected her, a senior warrior who was expecting kits. Also, nobody tells him off for this. A great example of misogyny, honestly. Also, as somebody who ships Jay x Stick/hj, it’s so stupid that he broke the stick because he was angry. Really, it’s like how a princess breaks her priceless objects when they aren’t any fun anymore. Rock was FURIOUS(I hate Rock btw). But seriously, that was one of a kind, and it will never come back. Oh, and I forgot to mention that when Willowshine was trying to be welcoming and helpful to Jayfeather on his first trip to the Moonstone, he just snapped and created an enemy for himself.
Good points for all the cats, Amber! Though I believe all the bad things about Ivypool were supposed to happen, then leading up to her becoming the best deputy she could become 🙂
amazing article! I agree with you about Dovewing and Bramblestar, and yes I also dare you to roast Jayfeather (even tho he’s a masterpiece)
