SpiderCloud lists things they’d like to change in the worldbuilding of Warrior Cats.
SpiderCloud again……after my Lion King article I thought about another article which is this. The Lion King one was just yesterday and I promise I won’t upload any more articles this week and next week. Sooooooo I thought there were some things that I had to change about warrior cats so…….
1: the warrior code
So look, I agree with all the code rules, but I just want to add some extra rules. So, med cats can’t have mates and kits should be in the warrior code. If it’s a rule, why don’t they just add it in the code? Cause then Spottedleaf’s like: “ooooh it’s not in the code I guess imma go be with Firestar now” and Leafpool’s like “CROWFEATHER IM COMINGGGGG” aaaand respecting StarClan should be in the code. Cause some warriors just won’t believe in StarClan since it’s not in the warrior code, AND then they might not get accepted into StarClan and end up in the dark forest like Ashfur and destroy the world. What is a warrior anyways, without StarClan? And plus I completely agree that some medicine cats have feelings for others but they can’t do their job when they are so busy caring for their own kits. And I would add no mating with kin, since Dustpelt mated with Ferncloud when Dustpelt was her uncle. It was really weird, but the ship was cute.
2: the names of warrior cats……
Ahem so um firstly I’d make “paw” a warrior suffix. Cause why not? It could be describing your paws. And at first when I first read Warrior cats I thought Graypaw was a warrior. (Yeah when I first read Warrior cats I was dum). Then what will apprentices be called? The answer is: nobody knows. And I wouldn’t make “star” a leader suffix, yes it’s convenient cause then you can tell leaders and warriors apart, but I don’t think making the suffix “star” for a leader is necessary.
3: how many lives should warrior cats get
So first, leaders get nine lives, so it’s not really fair everyone else gets one life. Like maybe I would make deputies have three or five lives, and everyone else gets one life. Because the deputy has power, and power=more lives. If the leader has power and he gets nine lives, why shouldn’t the deputy?
4: Clan —> tribes
So calling a clan a “clan” isn’t necessary, cause why clan out of all the things you could choose from? Tribe, team, group, faction, (ahhh never mind team and group and faction don’t really work) but tribe would be good, right? Thunder tribe, river tribe, shadow tribe, so on so on. It would feel like these tribes have adapted. And clan doesn’t really express that. And I think StarClan should be called Silverpelt, because the stars are in Silverpelt, right? And the dark forest should be called Dark tribe…..? Cause dark forest makes it sound like a forest, not a group of evil cats.
Nice article! I disagree with calling them tribes but lovely to read!
Great article, though I don’t agree with some of your points, I do think they are all great ideas!
the problem with the deputy having lives is because in case of a Splashtail, Tigerstar, etc scenario, they’d probably be unstoppable. Great article!!!
Mothwing and Cloudtail didn’t believe in StarClan but they are still loyal to the Clans. It would not be fair to them.
I agree (even though I don’t like mothwing) it is also unrealistic to try to force cats to believe in StarClan. Maybe the issue isn’t in the rules of the clans, but in the StarClan judgment system…
I disagree with calling the clans “tribes” because there’s already the Tribe of Rushing Water, that don’t work the same way as the other clans
The deputy idea is great!. Maybe the medicine cats could have extra lives too! I like the paw suffix for apps tho
The reason they don’t and the leaders do is bc people say that cats have 9 lives so the leaders are made to go to starclan and collect 9 lives
Cool article!
Cool article! You have some really interesting points there. I feel like I want to point out though, that there is a rule that says medicine cats can’t have a mate or kits, it’s just not in the warrior code it’s in the medicine cat code. And I think you don’t have to believe in StarClan because that’s not really something you can decide yourself, if you don’t believe they exist then that’s how it is, like Mothwing’s situation:)
Ty for reading and I respect all your opinions! Btw I didn’t know there was a medicine cat code *gasp* either I forgot or I just didn’t know
Nope, just no. I love this article and I see the points that you’re trying to make but it would just compleaty change the plot. If you want I can explain.
I’m neutral on the points in this article, but would love to hear your explanation!
I think they should change the “medicine cats can’t have mate/kits” rule so they are allowed to have a mate and kits if there is at least one more medicine cat in the clan, that can take care of the clan while the other medicine cat is in the nursery.
