My Favorite and Least Favorite Characters in Warriors by Oakflower

Oakflower lists their favourite and least favourite characters from the series.

My favorite characters :

1. Jayfeather
Jayfeather is VERY popular among the Warriors fans, and after reading the 3rd arc, I consider myself like a Jayfeather fan. Why ? First, because I love his powers (who doesn’t dream of being able to travel in the past ?), and secondly because I love his personality : a bit grumpy and stubborn, but kind.

2. Squirrelflight
Squirrelflight is one of my favorite characters because she’s strong and determined, and brave enough to hide the fact that Leafpool had kits and to face Ashfur’s betrayal. And, for her real kits as for her adoptive kits, she was a loving and caring mother.

3. Bluestar
Before Tigerclaw’s betrayal, Bluestar was a great leader. Always patient and honest (especially with Firestar !), she definitely deserves a special place in this list. I also loved her half-Clan romance with Oakheart, and her relationship with her sister Snowfur.

4. Tigerclaw/star
I know many of you would say that’s a strange choice, but I like Tigerstar as kit and a young apprentice, not as the murderer and the traitor he’d become afterwards. If he wasn’t mentored by Thistleclaw (for those of you who haven’t read Bluestar’s Prophecy, Thistleclaw was a warrior competing against Bluestar to become deputy, and all he wanted was war, war and war) and if his father Pinestar hadn’t left his family and Clan to live with Twolegs, he’d probably be a kind and loyal leader.

5. Cinderpelt
When she was called Cinderpaw and didn’t have her terrible accident, she was probably my favorite apprentice in the whole series. Strong-willed and determined to become a warrior (although quite impatient!), she also had a good mentor, Firestar. When she became medicine cat, she became more calm and patient, but I still loved her. And what I also like about her, is that she had a second chance to become the warrior she always wanted: she reincarnated herself into Cinderheart after her death.

Now, here are my least favorite characters :

1. Brokentail
I hate him so much that I won’t even call him Brokenstar : to me, he didn’t deserve a leader’s name. He did many bad things in his life : he murdered Raggedstar just because he wanted to become leader, he kidnapped so many innocent kits to make them warriors before their 6 moons (which resulted to the death of many of them :c) and he banned Yellowfang from ShadowClan.

2. Ashfur
The reason I hate Ashfur is that he tried to kill Firestar (even though I do not like Firestar, that is still very mean, especially coming from one of his own warriors) Jayfeather and Lionblaze, and to break Squirrelflight’s heart “just” because she preferred Bramblestar to him. (/SPOILER for those of you who haven’t read the arc 7, “The Broken Code”/ And what I dislike the most about Ashfur, is that he possessed Bramblestar’s body to become leader of ThunderClan and Squirrelflight’s mate.) I mean, that’s not fair !

3. Firestar
I know that Firestar is very popular among the fans. But I still don’t like him.
During the 1rst arc, when he was still a warrior, it was okay, because he was young and didn’t know very much about the Clans. But when he became leader of ThunderClan, that’s another thing. To me, he acted like “ThunderClan is the best Clan of the forest” (especially when he took the control of the whole LionClan, during the BloodClan battle). But even if I dislike Firestar, without him, I think the Warriors series would not exist. There would be no Squirrelflight, no Lionblaze and no Jayfeather.

4. Tigerclaw/star
He’s also part of my favorite cats, but as a deputy/leader, Tigerstar is a bloody, battle- and power-thirsty cat who just wants to rule over the whole forest (even though I cried when I read his death). It’s because of him that Redtail, Brindleface, Swiftpaw, Gorsepaw, Bluestar etc died. It’s because of him that BloodClan came into the forest and Whitestorm lost his life.

5. Daisy
I have only one word to say about Daisy : she’s boring. I mean, she did not do anything when she came into ThunderClan, she didn’t even wanted to become a warrior. Instead, she just stayed in the nursery. For me, that’s NOT the life of a warrior.
