Possible Names for Frostpaw: Pros and Cons by Olivepaw

Olivepaw comes up with some names for Frostpaw.

Frostpaw, the apprentice who should definitely have a name by NOW!(PLEASE ERINS) In some cases, the cat’s name is obvious like Dovewing, Bluefur(Bluestar), Talltail, etc… But Frostpaw still remains a mystery. Today, I’ll be looking at the pros and cons of some of the most popular names. SPOILERS FOR THE STARLESS CLAN ARC

Frostfeather

Pro: It would honor her mother, and honor her father, who’s prefix was Jay- a bird
Curlfeather was an evil cat who plotted with Splashtail to murder Reedwhisker and Mistystar, and is now in the DF.

Frostfern

Pro: The name perfectly suites her, if you were to look at the cover photo for Shadow
Con: Frostpaw’s eye color has been confirmed to be blue(think fawn-point siamese)

Frostpetal

Pro: It could mean how much she has grown, how she has grown and spread(DoTC reference!!)
Con: It could be considered a very gentle name, giving us a reason to think that she is still a gentle and timid apprentice, not the confident Frosty we know and love!
Frostlight

Pro: She’s a light that shines across the Clans to save them, and could also be partially after the Lights in the Mist.
Con: I personally feel as though Frosty’s an unsung hero, a behind the scenes, cool kind of cat(Hidden Figures anyone?). Perhaps she just wants to live a normal life?(I had to find a con, cause this name is actually perfect.)

Frostwillow

Pro: Named after Willowshine, who definitely deserved more time to live
Con: If Mothwing named Frost after Willow, it would mean that she hasn’t yet moved on, and that she’s still comparing our Frostpaw to Willowshine, which was very annoying.
