Calling All Rotation Helpers!

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a lovely day, and most of you are enjoying your summer break!

After running the Rotation for 2.5 games, I’m very sad to say that I will be stepping down as the Rotation Tsar. I had so much fun in the role, but ultimately, I became too busy to be able to update the Rotation consistently (as you have probably noticed if you play the Rotation 😛) This also means that the current game of the Rotation won’t be finished.

What does that mean for the Rotation, then? In my opinion, it’s such a fun game, and I don’t want to see it slide back into inactivity, so the role of Rotation Helpers is being created!

What does a Rotation Helper do? A Rotation Helper will create, post and judge 10 rounds of the beloved BlogClan game the Rotation . To be very clear, you will not be a moderator, nor will you have any moderating capabilities on the site.

To start things off, I’m looking for two helpers to take care of Game 5 of the Rotation (Amberpaw/wing will be crowned the winner of our very short Game 4). For each new game, though, we will have 2 new Rotation Helpers.

There are a few rules to being a Rotation Helper:

1. You must be able to contact me (Osprey) via a private form of messaging that you’ll be highly responsive on (eg. email, Google Chat, Discord)
2. You must have participated in at least two rounds of the Rotation (this includes Song that Warrior Rounds 9.5 and 10.5)
3. You must’ve been on the Blog for at least one month

FAQ

• When will I be expected to update the Rotation?
  For consistency’s sake, on the weekend, but it’s fine if that shifts around very slightly.
• How long does it normally take to update the Rotation?
  Depending on the game, you should be able to reserve 1-1.5 hours per weekend to update the Rotation.
• What if I can’t do a week?
  You have to be able to let me know in advance, and I or the other helper can update it for you.
• I want to apply, but I don’t fit some of the criteria/want to apply at a later date? What should I do?
  This form will reopen when the next game is about to start, and you can apply later 🙂
• I want to apply, but I know I’ll be unavailable for a long amount of time. What should I do?
  Put when you’ll be unavailable in the ‘Anything Else’ field at the bottom.
• Can I make new games for the Rotation?
  Yes, but you need to be able to explain them clearly.
• Why do I need to have participated in at least 2 rounds, and been on the Blog for at least a month?
  We want you to know how the Rotation works, and be able to engage with the Blog Community effectively.
• Can I apply for the role if I’m already in a helper role?
  Yes, but you have to be able to fully commit to both roles and complete all the tasks required of both.
• What if I don’t have a private form of communication I can use?
  Unfortunately, that means that you can’t apply for the role, as I need to be able to communicate with you privately.
• What if I want to use a form of communication not listed?
  There’s a spot on the form for that! Just let me know in ‘Other’. Secret Pages and the BlogClan Wikia are not private forms of communication.
• Do I need to submit a new form for every new Rotation game/helper intake?
  NO. If you have checked that you want to be contacted as a helper in future games, you only need to submit one form to be considered. The only reason to submit a new form is if any details on the form have changed.
