The real villain by Leafshadow

Leafshadow shines a spotlight on who they think is the real villain of Mapleshade’s Vengeance.

Hi I’m Leafshadow and this discussion is all gonna be about ‘drumroll’ Appledusk! I’m not writing this article for Mapleshade’s justice. Okay maybe a little. This contains a bit of spoilers on Mapleshade’s vengeance if you haven’t read it before.

Background information
Appledusk is this RiverClan tom that tried to save Mapleshade’s kits and when they drowned and died he blamed it on Mapleshade. When they get back to RiverClan camp he rejects her and blames her with the deaths. After that Mapleshade keeps getting hallucinations of her kits leading her to murder a bunch of other cats and then she dies then she goes to the Dark Forest then she trains a bunch of cats to help the Dark Forest Great Battle (OotS) then she helps Ashfur. ‘sigh’ That took a lot of breath.

Now back to the topic. So if Mapleshade was the first cat in the Dark Forest and she trained a lot of cats and most of them went into the Dark Forest and then those cats trained other cats and then it’s just a chain of evil cats from Mapleshade. But if we remember why Mapleshade is evil (her kits die and Appledusk rejecting her adding to that) we can further lead to that Appledusk might be the reason the Dark Forest has all those cats.

If he hadn’t rejected Mapleshade and just suddenly go to Reedshine, who Mapleshade is already slightly jealous of, and he supported Mapleshade she probably wouldn’t have gone on a quest of revenge and killed Ravenwing, Frecklewish (TC) and Appledusk (you deserve that Appledusk ‘throwing tomatoes at him in StarClan’). But alas Appledusk DIDN’T support Mapleshade and he rejected her and while Mapleshade is leaving, Reedshine hissed something like this
“Go away Mapleshade! You’ve caused enough problems tonight” and then after this after a long chain of death she went to the Dark Forest. So basically if Appledusk didn’t reject Mapleshade, she wouldn’t have filled up the Dark Forest to the brim. Now to conclude this paragraph, it’s Appledusk’s fault that almost everyone in the Dark Forest is there.
