Why Goldenflower deserves a Novella or super edition by Goldenpaw

Goldenflower!

“Who’s that again?” You might be asking, well let me explain. Goldenflower is the first mate of Tigerstar and the mother to Bramblestar and Tawnypelt, and I’m here today to tell you why she deserves a Novella or Super Edition.

The first and probably most important reason she deserves a S.E. or Novella is explaining her relationship with Tigerstar. I think it would be interesting to know if it was forced in anyway or if Goldenflower just loved him. How did she feel when Tigerstar betrayed thunderclan? Did she see it coming? I would like to know if she ever lost feelings for him or if she still loved him even after he betrayed everyone. Maybe it could change our whole perspective on Tigerstar! We don’t see how Tigerstar interacts with those he loves (if he loves anyone) very often so what if he could actually be sweet? All these questions would be answered if we got a Goldenflower book and it would most likely be very interesting!

The second reason is to see her reaction to her son, Swiftpaws death. Did you even know that Goldenflower was his mom? They did not make it very apparent. We didn’t see her grieving for his death at all! Also did you realize that it was her previous mates fault that her son had died? Yeah. Pretty messed up. In the books she didn’t show any feelings towards his death and personally I would like to know how she felt. Shouldn’t she be the one grieving the most?

The third reason is Patchpelt. Patchpelt was Goldenflowers previous mate who she had a single litter with (a litter consisting of a kit who died during kithood and Swiftpaw). He retired to the elders after his kits were born and then was not shown interacting with Goldenflower again. Smells like *sniff sniff* potential drama???

And then the fifth and final reason is her how she defended her two kits and herself from thunderclan’s judgment. Most of the clan disliked Tawnykit and Bramblekit just because of their father and Goldenflower was always there to protect her kits. I also think it is most likely that thunderclan was judgmental of her too even if it was never shown.

She did an excellent job of always standing up for her kits and telling the clan that it wasn’t her kits fault, as seen here on page 20 of rising storm to when she was speaking to Fireheart:
“The Clan will never forgive Tigerclaw—nor should they. But Bramblekit and Tawnykit have done nothing wrong, and I will not let them be punished because of Tigerclaw.”
She always protected and stood up for her kits and did very well but it was probably not easy and would help contribute to an amazing super edition.
