Zealpelt shares some opinions about Firestar.
Hello, fellow blog clanners! Zealpelt hear with another article! Today we will be talking about Firestar and what some of the fandom thinks about him.
(Take note before you read this article, I said some of the fandoms think about him. If you have a completely different opinion I respect that!)
All right let’s dive right in! I have seen many articles titled Overrated Cats (firestar is usually the front cover of these articles) In some way I agree. Lots of the fans think he is this amazing leader who has no flaws whatsoever. While I will not come to say he is flawless, he does have more pros than cons. But there is also a reason behind this, let’s start from the beginning. Rusty comes to the forest a young and ambitious tom cat. Bluestar is open to him almost at once, despite the fact that clan cats hate kittypets. He gets accepted into the, after fighting a young warrior (Longtail) So far Firepaw’s life is pretty great, he has friends almost immediately when he joins Thunderclan! If you don’t know where am going with this, then let me explain. So far everything has gone Firepaw’s way, he got accepted into a powerful clan, he gets friends also later becomes mates with his biggest hater (besides Tigerclaw) Sandpaw. The fact of the matter is that almost everything was too easy! And this is primarily why the fandom sees him as a Mary Sue! The fandom only sees all the good things that happened in Firestars life, thats why they see him as a soft little boy who gets too much attention! I highly disagree, I think that Firestar is a great main character for the first arc the Erins ever wrote together about cats! Some people think Firestar is just some shallow cat, but there is so much more about him! He always wants to help others which makes him generous, he also tries to stop Graystripe from breaking the warrior code, not because he is being a Mary Sue but because he loves and protects his friend and doesn’t want his best friend’s heart broken! Also, the Erins thought that this would just be one book, they never dreamed of making this an entire series and much more to come after that! For the record Erins, you did a great job for the first arc! In the end, it just gives us the choice of what our personal opinion is.
Thanks for stopping by and reading!

fr tho, I love him!
Cool article, but i still think firestar is a gary sue
Great article!
cool. I’m neutral about firestar, but my friend loves him
nice!!
Great article! I still don’t agree though. Sure, Firestar might’ve had tough points in his life, but everything he ever did turned out perfectly. Like every time he broke the code nobody cared for longer than a day. Even in the current books Nightheart rejects his name because even he thinks that Firestar is overrated and wants to be his own cat. He’s always just the hero in every single book. I don’t think we can go half an arc without referencing Firestar. That’s just my opinion, though
I personally Agree with Neyja about Firestar being overrated. He’s just a lil too perfect. A lil too good at fighting, hunting, public speaking, and um- Im not trtyina make the firestar fans mad but he is a lil manipulative- Like how he convinced Rootspring to let him take over his body in TBC. This is my percentages of what makes up firestar. Public speaking, 40%. Hunting, 10%. Fighting, 20%. Codebreaking, 3%. Manipulation, 1%. Generosity, 2%. Actually helping all the clans, 6%.
great article, I agree!
Power comes from fighting – Tigerstar
FIRESTAR IS DA BOMB
