Thorni’s Theories #1: How could Snowkit and Snowtuft be connected? by Finchpaw

Finchpaw takes a crack at the Snowkit-Snowtuft theory.

Hey BlogClanners! It’s Fynch back with her…. Fourth article, I think! Today is the first of a series, Thorni’s Theories, and in this article I will be talking about the theory that Snowkit is Snowtuft (I will be referring to this as the kit-tuft theory). Now this theory has been debunked over and over again, but for those of you who don’t know, I will go through that, and then I will write another theory I have come up with that links Snowkit with Snowtuft in a much more realistic way.

Okay. So the common theories are that Snowkit was either carried away by the hawk, died, and went to the Dark Forest because of a thirst for vengeance on his clan, or he survived, trained as a secret ShadowClan warrior and became evil to seek revenge on ThunderClan.
The latter is much more plausible but I will talk about how both would not be true, starting with:

Snowkit died when the hawk got him-

1. Kits do not grow up in StarClan, so the Dark Forest must be the same, and we see no kits there cause they would be murdered before actually being seen by a POV. Snowtuft was an adult in the DF.

2. Snowtuft is said in the books to not remember anything about his life, so he must’ve been born a loooooong time ago if Mapleshade still seeks revenge on the clans. If he was Snowkit, he would definitely remember.

3. Snowkit was confirmed to be in StarClan.

So that kit-tuft theory is definitely debunked, but how about the second one?
Snowkit survived the hawk and trained as a ShadowClan warrior to take revenge on ThunderClan for not rescuing him-

1. Like I said in the first one, Snowtuft would remember his life if this was the case.

2. Snowkit has been confirmed to be in StarClan.
And I guess there are only two reasons for this one, but it’s still not possible.

So how could the kit-tuft theory possibly work? Well perhaps instead of the theory that Snowkit became Snowtuft, we could say that Snowtuft became Snowkit.
What if Snowtuft lived a long, long, time ago, in ShadowClan. Long before Mapleshade’s Vengeance, and probably not long after Riverstar’s Home (which I have not read, btw, just need a book quite early in the development of the clans that still has StarClan/DF). This means that Snowtuft probably won’t remember his life, since he is a young warrior in the books, and has probably been dead longer than he’s been alive. Anyways, he leads a good life in ShadowClan, before being murdered completely unfairly and brutally. The StarClan back then was probably the same as the modern one, so when Snowtuft went there and begged for another life, begged StarClan for another chance, every day for many, many, years, he forgot about his life, because he was so focused on getting another chance. StarClan (who had now changed over the years to have Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, etc, and it’s Snowkit’s birthday now!) at last said he could live another life. So he is reincarnated as Snowkit of ThunderClan. Yes, more Warrior cats reincarnation. But like Cinderheart and Cinderpelt, this is more if Snowtuft’s ghost squished into a tiny kit body. Snowtuft knew something wasn’t quite right with his new kithood, though. At first he figured it must be ThunderClan. They must do things differently. This wasn’t how Snowtuft remembered life being. After a few moons, he figured it out.
They’ve put me in the body of a deaf kit! All this time, they torture both the kit and me, who KNOWS what it is to hear, into a life of silence! This kit would never hear the wind through the trees, the leaves crunching beneath his paws. And all because of StarClan. Snowkit then was carried away by the hawk and killed. So Snowtuft, being outraged, fights his way out of the kits body, screams at the stars, yelling and screaming about the terrible things they’ve done, and as we have seen, StarClan seems to send to the Dark Forest cats that don’t like them, or don’t follow their code. At Snowtuft’s ignorance, they send him to the Place of No Stars. Snowkit went to StarClan as he was separated from -tuft, Snowtuft is left in a place of darkness and misery.

And that is the only way I think Snowkit of ThunderClan and Snowtuft of ShadowClan could possibly be connected.
