Fallowpaw lists the most inspirational characters from the series.
Hi! Fallowsy from French here (muhahaha, now I can stay in French until this is published😈😛) with another article! I got this idea from I youtube video I saw, and I totally disagreed with, so here I am, making an article of my own! Let’s start!
10. Jayfeather
Yep, he is rude and snarky. That’s what’s so inspirational about him. Turbulent people like me might sometimes be afraid to speak their thoughts, but Jayfeather doesn’t care what others will think of him. And he inspires me to be less afraid of peoplr judging me based on what I say.
9. Sasha
Sasha deserves more love! We always talk about Goldenflower being underrated, but think about Sasha: She fell in love with Tigerstar, learned about what terrible things he did, still bared his kits and loved them even though they were his, experienced Tadpole’s death, and even had the courage to leave Mothwing and Hawkfrost alone in RiverClan to protect them. Impressive, right? I think it’s inspiring how Sasha is always able to do the right thing even when others didn’t do the right thing to her. She is an amazing mother, a kind and caring but also brave cat, and I also love how she doesn’t feel guilty after having Tigerstar’s kits, because I certainly would.
8. Cinderpelt
I think Cinderpelt is great! She had an injury, didn’t get to do what she wanted, and felt sad. But after that, she kept going as a medicine cat, and seemed to be able to enjoy that too. Her ability to overcome every obstacle is admiring to me, and her sweet but also assertive personality is amazing and inspiring.
7. Ivypool and Fernsong
I put them here together bc they as a couple are inspirational. I like Ivypool telling him she doesn’t want to be stuck in the nursery, instead of just doing it to please everyone. But this could go the wrong way (view: Finleap). Though Fernsong was very understanding and offered to do it himself. Just overall a very healthy, sweet and refreshing relationship.
6. Violetshine
My poor underrated kitty. She almost doesn’t get any love. The whole fandom seems to… forget she exists. Though I will tell you how inspirational she is! She grew up in a Clan where nobody wanted her. Then, when she finally got a friend, Needletail, she began to manipulate her. I know how it is to be manipulated, and just like me, Violetshine kept sticking to Needletail and was too afraid to let go of her. Afterwards, she helped the prisoners of the Kin, which was a very brave thing to do. I don’t think a lot of people would have the courage to do that, for a Clan that doesn’t even like you. Violetshine was a very selfless cat, maybe even too selfless, but then, luckily, she met her father and joined him in SkyClan, where she was happy. But because of all she went through, first having no parents, then being hated, manipulated, used to do a dangerous job… she still managed to live. That’s why I think Violetshine is incredibly underrated and inspiring!
5. Leafpool
She’s fantastic! A medicine cat that wants to be a medicine cat! Finally! Not everyone has to want to be a warrior, and I like how Leafpool displays that. It’s also inspiring in my opinion that she broke up with Croweather. It shows that it’s never too late to stop something you don’t want to, and I love how she stayed loyal to ThunderClan. And maybe it’s just a headcanon, but I think her romance with Crowfeather made Leafpool realize that she doesn’t feel comfortable with this kind of relationship, and she’s a lesbian. She was dedicated to her Clan till the end even though she struggled a lot, and she’s a very inspirational cat if you ask me.
4. Shadowstar
She is just an amazing female leader who I really look up to. She led her Clan greatly, and even managed to put ShadowClan on the map! Without her, ShadowClan wouldn’t be there! I also love that she doesn’t need a mate to help her! She’s just a really inspirational girlboss character which I admire so much.
3. Hollyleaf
I know what you’re saying. Girl is a know-it-all and takes the Warrior Code way too strict, only to break it herself then by killing a Clanmate and then commiting suicide and making everyone sad after trying to feed her own mother deadberries. But let’s look at Hollyleaf from another point of view. She was a noble warrior, one of the only people who followed the Warrior Code properly, and then experienced a whole lot of trauma and even had the courage to come back! Isn’t that something to look up to? And she saved Ivypool! Like ok, you may now say: ‘Yeah, everyone would do that.’ Maybe everyone would say they’d do that. But actually doing it again needs a lot of bravery, which Hollyleaf had. Another way in which she’s inspirational other than following the Warrior Code and being brave is not taking a mate. I don’t like that almost every she-cat in Warriors has a mate, so Hollyleaf is very refreshing. So even though she did some bad things, Hollyleaf is an inspiration to me.
2. Ravenpaw!
My child😛 But seriously, this cat is a great inspiration. He reminds us to choose our own path instead of doing things you don’t want to, and that it’s okay not to be okay, whatever Tigerclaw may say about it. He just makes his own choices over and over again, like leaving the Clans and staying with Barley, and I love that he’s one of the first canon queer cats, because he can also be inspirational to queer people. I wish he could’ve adopted a kit with Barley bc he’d be a great parent, but he still is so inspiring and I love him!
*drumroll*
1. MOTHWING!!!
Mothwing is a great inspiration to me! Just like her, I’m an atheist (no offence to people who aren’t), and I admire how she’s not afraid to show it in a Clan with all cats who believe in StarClan. She’s also a great medicine cat, and in my head, she’ll always be my fellow proud lesbian. She also got over Hawkfrost’s manipulation with help from Leafpool, which is admiring to me too, bc I’ve been manipulated by a bad friend in my life, and I wish I had handeled it that well. This girl is overall just who I want to be and she’s so inspirational!
So, that was it! Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to share your top ten in the comments or talk about cats in mine! Seeya! Fallowpaw outttttt!
