Little-Known Blood Relations in Warriors Part One by Firekit

Firekit lists some cats who are surprisingly related.

Good morning/afternoon/night, kits, apprentices, warriors, senior warriors, medicine cats, medicine cat apprentices, deputies, and leaders! Today, I’m back with another article! This time, it’s on little-known blood relations in Warriors! Let’s jump right in!

1. Spottedleaf, Redtail, Willowpelt, and Tigerstar the First

Now, if you’ve read Bluestar’s Prophecy, you’d know that Leopardfoot and Patchpelt are the kits of Swiftbreeze. Leopardfoot’s kits are Tigerstar the First, and Mistkit and Nightkit, who died of illness and birth complications when they were barely one moon old, meaning that Patchpelt was Tigerstar’s uncle and Swiftbreeze was his grandmother. A little while after Leopardfoot’s kitting, Swiftbreeze had another litter, containing Redtail, Willowpelt, and Spottedleaf, making them Patchpelt and Leopardfoot’s siblings, meaning that Redtail was Tigerstar’s uncle, Willowpelt was Tigerstar’s aunt, and Spottedleaf was Tigerstar’s aunt, even though all three of them were younger than Tigerstar.

2. Rosetail and Whitestorm

In Bluestar’s Prophecy, Rosetail was born to Poppydawn alongside Thistleclaw and Sweetpaw. Due to fresh-kill poisoning, Sweetpaw died. Thistleclaw mated with Bluestar’s sister, Snowfur, and they had one kit, Whitestorm (Whitekit at the time). So, Rosetail is Whitestorm’s aunt.

3. Mapleshade and Silverstream

Mapleshade was a ThunderClan warrior. She had a disloyal relationship with a RiverClan warrior, Appledusk. They had three kits, Larchkit, Petalkit, and Patchkit. After Oakstar banished Mapleshade from ThunderClan after finding out that Appledusk and her were mates, she took her kits with her. They drowned, and Appledusk blamed Mapleshade of this. After his rejection, Appledusk mated with Reedshine, and their kits were Willownose, Applefrost, and Shyheart. Willownose mated with an unknown tom and gave birth to Shellheart, who mated with Rainflower and their kits were Oakheart and Crookedstar. Oakheart mated with Bluestar, and their kits were Stonefur, Mistystar, and Mosskit. Meanwhile, Crookedstar mated with Willowbreeze and their kits were Minnowkit, Willowkit, and Silverstream. So, in summary, Mapleshade is Silverstream’s half-great-great-grandmother.
