My Opinion on One-Eye by Tempestpaw

Tempestpaw shares their thoughts on the ThunderClan elder One-Eye.

Tempy here and I’m publishing my opinion on One-Eye (the Bluestar’s Prophecy she-cat not the villain I keep seeing popping up if I search One-Eye).
First of all I’m going to point out a mistake in the first series. It says in the allegiances that One-Eye is the oldest cat in ThunderClan, but at the start of Bluestar’s Prophecy, Smallear and Halftail (then known as Sparrowpelt because he hadn’t met the badger yet) are full warriors, but One-Eye is an apprentice named Whitepaw because she hadn’t lost her eye yet.
So that concludes that Smallear is the oldest cat in ThunderClan, because he was a SENIOR WARRIOR.
Onto her as an apprentice, her name was Whitepaw, soon to be White-Eye because she was blind in one eye. Mean old Pinestar had to name her WHITE-EYE instead of WHITEPELT because she was silver! Really?! *Disapproving looks towards Pinestar in the office cubicle across from me (yes I sit in StarClan while posting my articles)*
You don’t see much of her as an apprentice but when you do, you notice the bond between her and her foster sister Dappletail. One-Eye’s mother was Hareleap and her father was Stagpounce (I think) and after her mother died she was taken in by Rainfur… I think that was her name, or something like it, alongside Dappletail. They were apprentices together and at one point, you see Whitepaw dragging Dapplepaw out the den because she thinks they’re about to become warriors. That’s just sweet.
As a young warrior named White-Eye she was close to Bluestar, the book’s protagonist. They were in the nursery together when Bluestar had Mistykit(star) Stonekit(fur) and Mosskit(⚰️) and White-Eye had Mousekit(fur) and Runningkit(wind)

I’m currently reading Rising Storm and I read Runningwind’s death scene it’s so sad! The way Whitethroat is involved as well and it’s just… Wow. I liked Runningwind😭

When Bluefur did the whole Mosskit-snowy-switcheroo-nursery-“there-was-a-fox” thingy, it mentions how she sneaks past White-Eye’s kits and it’s so sad, because her kits think it’s a game, but really they’ll never see their playmates again😭
