Rating Main Series POVs
Hi! It’s Dragontooth here. In this article, I have the opportunity to do a rating article on every main series POV character. Since Warriors has so many POVs, I’ll rate them all by subject. In this article, I’ll do the main POVs. It’ll be in order from the very first arc, to the newest arc. Keep in mind that this includes spoilers.

Firestar
Okay, some of you Firestar haters might be angry with me (don’t kill me plz) but I LOVE Firestar. He always tries to do the right thing even when it gets him into trouble. It just goes to show that he has high empathy (Well, sometimes). He and Graystripe is one of the best duos ever. Tell me otherwise. 😛 His character arc where he goes from a kittypet to a leader is phenomenal to read and I absolutely cried my eyes out when he died (srsly it made me vow to never read Warriors again even tho The Last Hope is my favorite book in the series). He is seriously my 3rd favorite character in the books ever.
I’ll give him a solid 10/10.

Brambleclaw
I am not a huge fan of Brambleclaw at all. He is a bit iffy for me. He was horrible to Squirrelstar in her Super Edition and was a bit too annoying for me. His Super Edition was not my favorite either. It was sort of interesting, however, when his body got possessed by Ashfur (he wasn’t all great either btw), I feel Brambleclaw was worse when he was Bramblestar.
For all those reasons, I’ll give him a 4/10.

Squirrelstar
Okay. Okay. This section might be the most out of order place. Cuz Squirrelstar is my absolute favorite character in the whole series. It’s because I love her sassy, spunky attitude. I relate to her a lot. Especially when she was an apprentice. Back then, she was stubborn and never follows orders. I loved her time in Dawn and Twilight and her Super Edition was AMAZING! She was an amazing sister to Leafpool (even though she kind of lied about the Three being her kits) and I loved her confidence. She was a good mate (even when Brambleclaw was being jerk sometimes) and she never stepped down when Ashfur threatened to kill the cats she loved most.
I’ll give her more than a 10 if I could but I’ll stick to the scale with her being a 10/10.

Leafpool
Leafpool, the calmer sister of the two. She is sweet and kind and always does the best she can. Even if she ends up being wrong in the end. However, when she does, she always does her best to make up for it.
I’ll give her a pure 10/10

Jayfeather
Our edgy boi. I love Jayfeather so much. He’s so edgy and grumpy and I love that about him. His whole character arc is really cool with him being blind and him figuring out how he can manage the world without sight.
He is a pure 10/10 for me. I love him.

Lionblaze
I don’t really like Lionblaze all that much. I don’t believe he’s that good of a protagonist. His chapters were really boring and hard to get through. Plus, he can get pretty annoying at times. I don’t relate to him in the slightest bit. He just gets really boring the more he’s used.
For these reasons, I’ll give him a 3/10.

Hollyleaf
Hollyleaf wasn’t that great either. I liked her at first but the more books I read, the more I disliked her. What bothered me the most is that she killed Ashfur so Squirrelstar’s secret wouldn’t be revealed and then SHE HERSELF ended up revealing the secret. It was hard to understand what she really meant. It was sweet of her to sacrifice herself against Hawkfrost to save Ivypool (which I appreciate) but that was the only good thing about her. Her novella wasn’t the best either.
I’ll give her a 4.5/10

Dovewing
I don’t care WHAT the fandom says but I really like Dovewing. She’s sweet and kind. I don’t see her being a “Mary Sue” at all. She had some struggles but she managed to overcome them. I kind of felt her pain when her powers had been taken away. For her, it was probably hard to get used to the idea that she no longer has very powerful senses. And when she got her powers, too.
She is totally a 9.5/10 for me

Ivypool
I loved Ivypool’s personality. She was always so fun to read about and her character arc was cool as well. Her relationship with Dovewing and Fernsong is just amazing. I loved when she recovered from training in the Dark Forest and became a spy for the Clans. And I can’t wait for her Super Edition to come out in September.
I’ll give her a 10/10.

Gray Wing
You guys might hate me for saying this but I am not a fan of Gray Wing as much. A lot of you probably love Gray Wing but I don’t like him. I don’t know why. I just didn’t get attached to him as much. I feel like he was great in The Sun Trail but after that, I for some reason found him annoying. I wanted to like him but I just . . . don’t.
I’ll probably give him a 5/10.

Thunderstar
Now Thunderstar is probably my favorite character in DOTC. I love his personality and how he (and four other cats) made whole Clans. His introduction was just amazing. Thunderstar will always hold a special place in my heart for being my favorite Clan founder.
I’ll probably give him a 9/10.

Skystar
Skystar was . . . interesting. He was definitely an interesting character to the plot but, like his brother, I found him pretty annoying. He changes so much throughout the DOTC series and in some Super Editions (and novellas) that it gives me a hard time to catch up to his character.
I’ll give him a 5.5/10.

Alderheart
Oh, Alderheart. Cute, sweet, Alderheart. I loved Alderheart’s time in the books. A lot of you probably find his chapters quite boring, but I actually loved his chapters. I also love his personality. He’s so sweet and kind and he always tries to do the right thing.
I’ll give him a pure 10/10

Violetshine
Violetshine was just so cute and sweet. She’s not one of my favorite characters, but I still like her. So much. Her relationship with Tree was adorable. And while she may not be in my top 10, she’s still amazing.
She’s a 7/10 for me.

Twigbranch
Now Twigbranch I had a harder time clinging to. She was pretty annoying at times and for StarClan’s sake she changes her mind wayyyyyy too much. First she wanted to be in ThunderClan, then she wanted to be in SkyClan, and then back to ThunderClan. My mind couldn’t even catch up onto what was going on with her. I don’t like her.
She’s a 3/10.

Bristlefrost
Bristlefrost was cool (cough cough. Warrior cat pun. Did you get it? No? Okay . . .). She was so sweet with her relationship with Rootspring and I was so sad when she died. It was dramatic. It was somber. I adore her personality and she tried to make up for what she did with The Impostor.
She’s a 9/10.

Rootspring
Rootspring was adorable. Oh my gosh. I loved everything about him. I loved every single moment we got to see him. And I feel so bad for him because Bristlefrost was the love of his life and she died. It was saddening to see him so sad.
He’s a total 9.5/10

Shadowsight
Shadowsight was such a cute twitchy kitty. Not to mention that he was amazing in TBC. His relationship with his mother and his siblings was cool. His personality was so sweet and he was enjoyable to be around. He’s not annoying.
He’s an 8/10.

Nightheart
Now onto the newest protagonists (of books that are out yet. Not counting Changing Skies). Nightheart was adorable. He had great memorable moments in the books. His naming ceremony was really interesting. And his character arc too.
He’s a 9.5/10

Sunbeam
Ngl guys, I thought Sunbeam would be male at first. Don’t ask why. I just did. XD ANYWAYS! I think she is a sweet loving loyal cat to the cats she loves. And I seriously think she is so patient with a mother like Berryheart. Sunbeam’s relationship with Nightheart was adorable and I loved it.
I’ll give her a 9/10.

Frostpaw
Frostpaw’s character arc was so interesting. In the first few books, Frostpaw was nervous, unsure of herself, and often questions what she does. However, in the recent books, Frostpaw was more bold. She was more sure of herself and she is more confident in her abilities.
She’s a 8.5/10. I love her.

Tawnypelt
Even though Changing Skies isn’t out yet, I couldn’t resist giving their protagonists a chance to shine. I love Tawnypelt. Her novella was interesting and I loved her in TNP. I am glad she gets a chance to shine in the 9th arc and learn more about her.
She’s a 8.5/10

Leafstar
I am not a fan of Leafstar. I’m sorry. I am just not. I hate Leafstar. She gets really boring the more she is used and her Super Edition isn’t all that great either (I still like it but it’s my least favorite). Her personality is also hard to deal with.
She’s a pure 2/10.

Moonpaw
No info is much about her except that she’s a tortoiseshell and maybe a chemora and she is haunted by voices in her head and she’s the third protagonist in the arc.
For now . . . 0/10.

Whew. That took a while to type this up. If you disagree with some of my opinions, that’s fine with me. If you love some of the characters that I rated so low, I am happy for you. Remember, that these are all my opinions and you are free to have some of your own.
