Exposing my Fave Characters’ Greatest Flaws (Chaotic) by Rosefern

Hello this is Renda, and welcome to this article! I’m going to be exposing my favorite characters’ flaws🤭 this should be interesting.
First of all, you guessed it, Jayfeather!
Okay Jayfeather is a very controversial character😢 I really really like him though he’s my favorite character so this is gonna be hard for me to admit but…he can be really mean sometimes! Yeah most of his apprenticeship he was mean to everyone who tried to help him, claiming they were treating him like a kit. Yeah I sort of understand that, but he don’t have to be rude about it. Yeah I’ll admit I didn’t like him as an apprentice so let’s move on to when he was a warrior.
Jayfeather’s still my grumpy boi and i loveeeeee him! But he does have flaws unfortunately.
Girl, this is hard!
There’s this one scene in The Fourth Apprentice, where Dovewing has just been told she is part of this big prophecy, and she is not happy. She whines about it naturally and Jayfeather (surprise!) snaps at her. Don’t get me wrong, I hate Dovewing, but I still do think Jay could’ve been a bit more understanding about it. This cat, who is practically a kit has just gotten powers that she doesn’t understand and doesn’t want to shoulder this big responsibility, and Jay is as bad as Yellowfang here and just yells at her that she has to.
Oh and he was also mean to Twigbranch when she was a kit, but I really don’t care because I hate Twigbranch and there was really no reason for her to be trashing the medicine den except to be a show-off.
Aside from that he said some very inspiring things, like “A true Warrior’s heart needs no rules! It can do no evil!” (Fading Echoes page 231), and “There are no herbs that can take away memories. You just have to learn to live with them.” (The Forgotten Warrior page 9) and some funny ones like “Oh, great, let’s lump all the useless cats together and hope a tree falls on them!” (The Sight, page 91), and ?I’m here to heal you. If you want sympathy, go to the nursery.” (Dark River page 99).
Ok this is turning into best Jayfeather quotes. You know what? I should do that actually! Let me know in the comments if you want a jayfeather quotes article! I will now go back to saying Jayfeather is still my fave character despite being grumpy.
My next favorite character is Gray Wing.
Nooooooooo, no no no no no no, not Gray Wing! He is my baby and he can do no wrong! Period. Or should I say exclamation mark?🤣
So if you dare to find anything wrong with this precious amazing cat, do tell me in the comments. You know what maybe he’s actually better than Jayfeather, because I was actually able to find something wrong with him.
Next is Riverstar.
I love Riverstar so much, but this is an article where I expose these characters’ flaws, whether I like it or not. I feel like he is a bit naive, especially in the beginning of his book. I like him for it though because he’s so cute and easygoing until he can’t be anymore, he’s a very interesting character and I like his relationship with the river.
Next up is Cloudtail.
I like Cloudtail’s unflinching loyalty with a side of snark, and I love Cloud X Bright and how he helped Brightheart regain her strength after the dog attack. But I didn’t like him as an apprentice.
Cloudpaw had a paw in two worlds, as they say. He was halfheartedly training as a warrior and snapping at Fireheart for basically no reason. Then when Fireheart wasn’t looking, he got to be a kittypet, fattening himself on kittypet food and being way happier there until his twoleg moved and he realized that he liked Clan life really much better. Like he didn’t know what he had til it was gone and he was basiclly just very selfish. I still like him though.
