Hello! It’s Renda, and welcome to another A To Z prefixes article! I’m very excited because I really like making these and based on what I can tell, you peeps really like reading them!
Today we’ll be focusing on the letter D. The prefixes we’ll be covering are Dawn, Dusk, Dust, Dew, and Daisy.
First up is Dawn!
I absolutely loooove the prefix dawn! It’s so pretty! Since dawn means the start of a new day, Dawn is probably very optimistic. She always looks on the bright side, and doesn’t worry very much about, basically anything. She’s also most likely the decision maker, because she doesn’t resort to worrying, she can stay calm and figure out how to solve problems. She’s also likely to be very friendly and a social butterfly, and is very good at cheering people—er—cats, up.
Possible warrior names: Dawnheart, Dawnsky, Dawnripple, Dawnfrost, Dawnlight
Dust.
Dust is Dawn’s polar opposite. He’s antisocial and paranoid, and he’s not mean exactly but he is prickly and keeps to himself most of the time. Despite this, he’s fiercely loyal to his Clan and would give his life to protect those he cares about, even though he doesn’t like to admit it. He also probably does a lot of battle training because he’s paranoid of other Clans and the chance of attack.
Possible warrior names: Dustbreeze, Dustwind, Dustnose
Dusk.
Dusk sort of reminds me of someone who is sort of like Dawn on the outside (trying to act care-free the whole time) but is like Dust on the inside (prickly and paranoid). Unlike Dusk though, they’re probably not very loyal, like maybe they think they are but if the other side has a big enough advantage or gives them a nice opportunity that they can’t get in their own Clan, they’d gladly make the switch.
Daisy.
Daisy is just like the one in the canon series. She’s overprotective and is probably a permanent queen as well bc she doesn’t like to go in to battle or something. I never really understood that by the way, but that’s just what I associate with Daisy now.
Possible warrior names Daisyfurl, Daisycloud, Daisyshine.
I hope you enjoyed this article! See you next time for E!
Ooooh, I have an oc named Dawnheart! The personality fits her pretty well, even tho she’s kind of a background character :3 And I also have Dustsong, but she’s very different from the description and just kinda weird and also carefree :DD Anyways, awesome article! I really love this series!
Thank youu!!! I’m pretty sure E won’t be out for another cople of months but be patient I promis it’ll come out at some point (I remember submitting it)
i forgot to put warrior names for dusk. Let’s see maybe Duskheart, Duskfern or Duskbreeze
What about Dusklight?😛Great article Rosefern!
Great article!!
Great article, Renda!
I feel the need to comment here given that my prefix has appeared (😛). I have always thought of dusk as a peaceful and tranquil time of day, one that juxtaposes dawn in many aspects. It’s interesting to see how different people associate entirely different ideas with the same word (:
I love this! Very helpful for creating OCs
I’m curious to see what you put for “Reed” when you do “R” prefixes >:)
Cool article Renda!! I loved reading it :DD If you ever get as far as J please include my prefix :DD (if you want to ofc you don’t have to)
Oooooo just found this series and I love it!!! I’m hoping mah prefix pops up if we make it to F! <3
