Spiritflight:
Hiyo everybody, it’s Spiritflight here! It’s been a while since I’ve done an article, well, besides the interview one I’m actually working on at the same time as this one. I’m here with Honeypaw, and together, we’re making an article based on the topic of Warriors characters. To put it in simple terms, basically we’ll just each be discussing our opinions on the cats we talk about, what we like about them and what we don’t, yadayada you get it. We’ll each be choosing about…hmm, let’s see…two cats each! That is four in total. The ones I’d like to talk about are going to be Firestar and Onestar. What about you, Honeypaw? Are you excited for this article, and who would you like to choose?

Honeypaw:
Hello everyone! I’m Honeypaw as Spiri said, and I’m super excited for this article. I’m the same Honeypaw from the “Making Taylor Swift Songs into Warriors” article. I totally didn’t almost start crying when Spiri said yes to my collab request! So, I’d like to discuss Gray Wing and… hm…. what about Ivypool?! Yes, I did just choose Ivypool…. so -uhm— Spiri, please forgive me for possibly accidentally making people put rude comments on this article!

Spiritflight:
Gray Wing and Ivypool, great choices! Let’s get started with Firestar. A lot of people say he is a very overrated character, and yes, as much as I love him, I do agree with that. He is one of the amazing originals, a classic, but he also has shown up in almost every book, and sometimes, it can get quite annoying. I loved his story in the first arc tons, he was a well written character with the spirit of a kit yet the nobility of a warrior. I think his feelings toward Spottedleaf were quite weird…but hey, he eventually got over his strange love interest, so props to him. What about you? What are your thoughts?

Honeypaw:
So, Spiri, I think Firestar is overused and a Gary Sue. Like, why is he the 4th cat and not Ivypool or Hollyleaf? Can I be honest? I was glad when he died in the Last Hope. He was boring. Sandstorm could do better! Plus, why did Bluestar just randomly name him Firepaw? What if he wasn’t the fire that was meant to save the clan? What if it was something else? I would’ve named him something like Sparkpaw or maybe Gingerpaw. -gasp- I JUST GOT AN IDEA FOR A OC! Gingerflare or Gingerflame. What does he even look like? People say he’s a tabby, but others think he’s just plain ginger. Also, why Spottedleaf -frown-? He’s like half her age! Plus, Firestar probably only loves her because of her “gorgeous” looks and “sweet scent”. Like, why? Ok, I’ll stop complaining about Firestar, and move on to Gray Wing.
I love this cat! He’s fierce, but gentle. You know? He’s like the opposite of Clear Sky. His relationship with Turtle Tail and her kits is so sweet. I totally didn’t cry when he died. Something about him just reminds me of my best friend. He’s not perfect, unlike Firestar, but he’s a really good cat. Yes, he did mess up, but he made things right. He protected his campmates, and refused to give up on Clear Sky for a long time. This shows how loyal he is. If he was a person, I’d be like, his best friend.

Spiritflight: Honestly, I do agree with the fact that Firestar shouldn’t of been the fourth cat. It should have been Hollyleaf or Ivypool.
Alright, Gray Wing time! I agree with you completely. I don’t Gray Wing self-centered or selfish, he cares about others and does his best to look after everyone. I never cried at his death, but it doesn’t change the fact I love him so much. But he truly had a lot of heart, he looked after kits that weren’t his, and risked his life for cats that he didn’t even know. A true warrior. And I’m with you, quote Honeypaw “Yes, he did mess up, but he made things right.” That’s perfect to describe him.
On to Onestar! Honestly, he is a yes and a no for me all the same. I really do think Mudclaw should’ve been leader instead, with how Onestar turned out in the end. He was definitely better as ‘Onewhisker’. As a leader, I just feel like he didn’t know what he was doing. He personally embarrassed me sometimes. I do acknowledge the fact he was trying his hardest, and I respect that. But he just wasn’t right for the job. I don’t want to explain too far ahead in case there are some readers who wouldn’t enjoy spoilers.

Honeypaw:
Thank you! You’re like the 1 person I know who agrees with me! I love Onewhisker, and hate Onestar. Like you said, he’s better as a warrior. As a leader, he was rash and a coward. The one thing he did as leader that was good was oof Mr. Black-and-White. He’s embarrassing, and I’m shocked he didn’t die earlier. Like he fought so often with the other clans. He and Firestar were besties, then they hated each other. Like what? Tallstar and the next leader (I refuse to spoil it!) are so much better! They’re peaceful and calm. And not mentally insane. Onestar is a little better in the end, but besides that he kind of sucked. Like you said, he’s not right for the job. Ok, now onto Ivypool. People say she’s a traitor, and others like me, love her. She’s not bratty and arrogant. She’s not disloyal. She’s loving. She’s fierce towards enemies, and gentle to others. She’s not afraid to speak up. She’s not like Dovewing, her sister. Dovewing hates her powers when she has them, but when she doesn’t she misses them and thinks she’s “blind and deaf” (not Ivy, dove). Dove is just annoying and like, why run away with Tigerheart? I’m glad about the kits, but upset she betrayed the clan. Ivypool is a great mentor, mate, mother, and clanmate. She’s an even better deputy! I hope she becomes leader! She risked her life by spying even though she knew she’d die if she was caught! That’s how loyal she is! So; Dovewing: 3/10, Ivypool: 10/10. Ivypool def should’ve been the 4th cat. Or she should be the main character in another prophecy.

Spiritflight: I just love love love your opinions, Honeypaw! I definitely favourite Ivypool over Dovewing (I’ve not yet read Ivypool’s Heart, actually!). Yeah, I found Dove very annoying and disloyal. But, to have some positivity, she wasn’t completely disloyal, I’ll give her that. But we’re talking about Ivypool here. Ivy is a wonderful mate, deputy, mother, friend…all of the above. She’s served her clan like the loyal warrior she is. Yeah, she should’ve been the fourth cat for sure. I loved the part she played in the dark forest, as a spy. She was so brave and noble, and not to mention (in my opinion) being one of the prettiest she-cats in ThunderClan.
I think this pretty much wraps it up! I’ve loved hearing what you’ve had to say, and it’s been great collaborating with you. You explain things so thoroughly! Thanks for reaching out, Honey. I hope you guys enjoyed the article! I think it went pretty successful <3

Honeypaw:
I also haven’t read Ivypool’s heart, but i need to 👹. I’m going to sneak to the bookstore hehehe. 😜. Well, I loved making this, and thank you so much for everything! 💕Bye bye!
