“Welcome, Russetdawn, to StarClan.” A dark brown tabby tom mewed smoothly. “Don’t say that, Duskstreak, you’re just stirring up fear in the poor kit.” A cream colored she cat ( I changed it hehe) with tinges of light brown reproached him.
“I am not, in any way whatsoever, a kit.” Russetdawn furiously declared.
Hazelflight purred, amused, as she answered. “Ah, my dear, when you have lived as long as I have, anyone will appear to be a kit to you. [Quote from Yellowfang, not exact but something like that]”
Duskstreak snorted, “Ha, if so, then mind tell me what I am?”
Hazelflight turned her head away as she retorted, “Whatever, talk like this does not interest me.” Turning back to Russetdawn, she continued on. “As for you, young one, you are hovering between Starclan and ShiverClan. Shush, don’t fret, if you live, we’ll send you back. But, if you don’t… I’m sure you know the answer. But don’t worry, your medicine cats are working hard to help you and your clanmates.”
With that, both of the starry cats left the clearing, leaving Russetdawn watching after them in confusion.
Sugartail walked by that camp towards the freshkill pile
Shiverwind stretched lazily, yawning. She knew that she had to take a nap, or else she would be super sleepy tomorrow..since it was midnight. She closed her eyes, and a swirling world of darkness formed before her. She slowly sank into sleep.
sugertail went to shiverwind “hey sleepyhead don’t forget that you have midnight patrol” she meowed
Shiverwind opened her eyes and groaned. “Sugartail, I’m a medicine cat! I don’t go on patrols,”she pointed out. Sugartail narrowed her eyes. “Herb collecting?”she asked meaningfully. “Let Mistfeather go,”Shiverwind mewed, her voice muffled as she buried her muzzle under her paws, before falling asleep again.

Lavenderheart ‘stretched as she got up. Stifling a yawn, she muttered to herself, just loud enough for Sugartail to hear her. “Why do we even need to go for midnight patrols when we don’t live with other clans?”
Then, glancing at Sugartail, she meowed loudly, “Come on, let’s go.”
Shiverwind rose to her paws. “Since I was woken,”she meowed with raised eyebrows(do cats have eyebrows?), “I might as well as come along.”
(yes cats have eyebrows, sort of, that’s where the whiskers slightly above their eyes are. You can’t actually see their eyebrows, but they work the same way as ours so the expression still works)

Nightbird was curled up in her nest at the med. cat den. All the cat’s seemed to be doing just fine, and Shiverwind had already gone to get some catmint to refill the stock before leafbare, so really there wasn’t much left to do. She had come in with the intention of simple resting her eyes, for a moment, and getting away from those annoying kits, but at some point she must’ve drifted into sleep, because when she opened her eyes, she wasn’t at the med. cat den anymore.
It wasn’t StarClan, that was for sure. But it wasn’t the Dark Forest, either. It was like a land in between, a gray space, an empty void.
The figure in front of her wasn’t quite… cat, per say. It was a hologram, flickering mist, and holes gaping through the empty sockets where there should’ve been eyes. It didn’t move a whisker, but she heard its voice, loud and clear.
“New moon is coming. Beware the fox that lingers, beware the stars that fall, beware the hare that leaps.”
The prophecy is so good!!!

Shiverwind sighed. “I just love the scent of catmint,”she murmured.
Then, she started to pick the herbs, pausing to scan the clearing. Finally, after several minutes, she picked up her bundle and mewed through the herbs, “that’s enough.”
“do you need help carrying it ” offered Sugartail
“Yeah, thanks,”she muttered through a mouthful of herbs. “Also, we need to meet with ScorchClan soon, at the Gathering. You know, the other one that we meet once every New-leaf.”
