Hello! Welcome to my mini article. I think this is the right place to post this but i’m not sure, today i’ll be sharing why i think Moonflower’s death was unjust.

A LOT of people have deemed Moonflower’s death “unjust” because Goosefeather’s omen was crazy and “didn’t do anything uSeFuL” and I agree, the omen was crazy and the battle was unjust. Many also say that it was Goosefeather who killed Moonflower and THAT’S why her death is unjust, but in that part, I disagree. Hawkheart was the cat who physically killed Moonflower, but it was also his fault she died. Moonflower was told to raid the Windclan medicine storage and destroy the herbs, which she attempted, but failed when a Windclan warrior spotted her and Hawkheart ran in. Hawkheart should’ve chased her out of the den and left her with a scratch. But instead, Hawkheart broke the Warrior Code and killed her for something she attempted but never did. The most upsetting part to me is that Hawkheart got away with it without being punished. It’s against the Warrior Code to kill a warrior in battle, this is the full rule “An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the code, or it is necessary for self-defense.” It was NOT necessary. Hawkheart trained as a warrior before a medicine cat and could’ve easily just chased her out of the den. It was NOT Goosefeather’s fault. Hawkheart IS to blame. Hawkheart is NOT justified in ANY way, no matter what you say. For real proof of this, you may check Chapter 7-8 of Bluestar’s Prophecy.
