Heyy everyone guess what day today issss

6th of December, my one year Clanniversary!

(and Icy’s too, plus of course Finland’s independence day too 😉)

Yes I have prepared a speech, how could I not? 😛 This will end up long, LONG LONG LONG and I will personally congratulate you if you read through all this. And it will probably end up cringy too.  And cheesy, but I’ll try to avoid that (and fail) 😛 Anyway, without further ado… drumroll please…. the speechy thingy!

I remember how freaking nervous I was to join the Blog. I had to keep it a secret from my parents, I was scared to use my email, I thought I wasn’t good enough at English and that I would never belong, seeing that I’m bad at making friends and timezones are horrible and I’d never get to chat with people a lot. But despite that, I made a promise to myself to join on the 6th of December, just in honor to the independence day. And that’s what I did… The joining part was honestly terrifying 😛 I had planned the post in my head well (it was just saying something about the independence day) and read it thousands of times to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes. I had decided my name, put my email there and I was ready to click “post”, but I hesitated. Did I really want to join? I was already about to close the tab, but then I thought heck , posted it and quickly exited the whole website. My hands were literally shaking, heart beating and I was really nervous. I still don’t know what freaked me out so much.

That was the start, and here I am now.

Most of my fears went away over the time. One thing I was scared of really turned out to be only a fear. That I wouldn’t belong. I instantly belonged, from the moment Sunny first replied to my first post (saying “YAYAYAY *BLOWS PARTY KAZOO*” 😛), I belonged here. It didn’t matter that I was, and still am, a weird random person who’s shy,  constantly making grammar mistakes and lives in a place which existence is unknown to most. But no matter what, I am and I will always be a Blogclanner. A part of this so praised community.  And that is just so amazing.

I know I haven’t done a lot. Joining a few projects and stuff like that, but not much more. But that doesn’t matter either. I will feel accomplished if you remember me every time you hear someone talking about swans – or even better, talking about Finland. I hope you go like “oh yeah, I know someone who lives there in the north with reindeer and polar bears.” Yeah, that’s the only thing that matters to me in the end – that someobody will remember my existence.

You’ve probably heard this a lot, but I will repeat it one more time – Blogclan is the safest place on the internet, so welcoming, so tight-knit, so accepting, so friendly and just so so so amazing. I’ve loved every second I’ve soent here, every second I’ve spent with you guys <33

You thought I was going to stop? Ahaha no, I'm gonna pull a Willa and thank some people seperately 😛 I know I'm not too close with many, but does that stop me from thanking them? 😛 the list is incomplete, not in any particular order and missing so many important people, so sorry about that since you're all fantastic, but this can't get too long –

Icy – no matter how much more important you are, you're always gonna be my Clanniversary buddy 😉 I really appreciate the way you're like a mother figure to this community (along with Kate, of course 😉), and how you help and care about everyone. Thank you, Icy <3

Sunny – can  I just thank you for existing? Like I want to come to your house and personally thank your mom for giving birth to you 😛 seriously though, this community would be missing so so much without you. You're probably hearing this a lot, but you're so happy and so so nice, supporting, so amazing and I just couldn't stay here without your existence. You really make the atmosphere, and really brighten all the days just by existing.

Blue – Blue, Blue, Blue… where should I start? You're the first one who started caring about me – the first and pretty much the only one who honestly wanted to chat with me. I've overcome many blogfears because of you – such as joining wiki chat and  gatherings and being social with anyone – all thanks to you, seriously Blue, you've helped me so so so so much, and I really really owe you. I haven't chatted with you for a long time and I miss youuu <33 I'm sorry you've never heard me say this before, but you're my bestestestestest friend here, no matter how many times you say you aren't nice I will always see you as a super friendly person, haven't you noticed how many people list you as their friend in blogfic forms? Doesn't that prove something? I'm sorry this is getting so long but just Blueee you're amazingfantasticalltheotherpositiveadjectives <33

Wavey – I have so much to say here, so so much. When I first joined the Blog I saw you as someone who I looked up to. Like you were some kind of an idol to me. I admired – and I still do – how you voice your opinions, how everyone knows you and respects you, how you're so freaking genius and creative, TEACH ME YOU WAYS 😛 At first I couldn't believe we were the same age as you were and still are so so smart. Honestly I don't understand who wouldn't want to be your friend – everything you could ever wish of a friend all in the same package! There's just not enough good adjectives, no right one, the best way I can describe you is that you're Wavey, Wavey-like. And know that it's the best adjective out there, the best compliment you could get. You're truly amazing, stay that way <33

Willa – although I haven't really chatted with you much (I'm too shy to start a converstation on Discord 😛), I really appreciate you as a person.  You're so kind that it's impossible. And you're also so high achieving at art like you get so many chances and you're so good like whaaat how I love your art so much <33

Peto – the only one who catches my references 😉 but that's not the only reason why I love your company  – really, you're the sweetest person I know and I really really really enjoy discussing stuff with you and generally just chatting. I've loved every second I've known you <33 Now that you got discord, timezones are no more in my way and I'm more than excited to talk with you, hope you're hyped too 😉 you're such a precious child everyone protect peto pleeease

Snowy – snowyyyyy I just recently got to know you better and honestly I've loved every second I've chatted with you. You're so kind and awesome and one of the only people who can put up with my talkative side 😛 I don't even understand how we can be so similiar in some ways, you're my language and snow buddy. Every time I wake up I just instantly want to check discord to see if you've replied and despite timezones we've gotten to chat a lot which is amazing. Really Snowy, you're fantastic, never forget that, and I'm so excited to start teaching you Finnish <33

Fallen – such a sweet and kind person <33 always helping and replying to everyone, you're so helpful and friendly and welcoming and fabulous and so so caring aaa I can't imagine the Blog without you Fallen you're amazinggg <3

Lup – complimenting skills 100000/5, seriously Lup how can someone be that genius?? Your compliments are darn unique and I just crave for them 😛 apart from that, you're dang hilarious like HOW

Dew, Lion, Wistep – I don't know you that well, but I really appreciate how nice you've been to me. I love that you all comment on CE every time saying so kind things <3 If I ever get the chance to chat with any of you more, I will gladly take it <33

Everyone – I know I'm missing a lot of people but I really need to finish one of my drawings. But I hope you know that even if I didn't mention you here I respect you all you're so friendlyyy and accepting <33

As a Finnish person, I have never ever said "I love you" to anyone the way I really mean it, not in Finnish and not in English, and never ever heard anyone saying that to me. But heck, this shall be my first time and I will freaking mean it – I love you all so much <33
