a few months ago, the HOA (homeowners’ association) was asking people to take down their swings, and they said if it was a clothesline, it could stay up. my dad said if they came back (which they didn’t, the swing argument must’ve died out) he was going to hang clothes on our swing and say it was a clothesline 😛

Don’t psych yourself out! Just breathe. Bring a book or listen to music or something to distract you. There might even be movies on the plane.
Bring a spare blanket of they don’t provide one, and bring a moisturizing mask since the air is super duper dry

If you’re not scared of heights, look out the window as you rise/descend before you hit the clouds because the view is a m a z i n g!! Also eat something chewy while you rise/descend so your ears don’t pop. Have a good flight! 🙂

I’ve been flying since I was under a year old and I do it at least 2 times a year, sometimes even 6, so I’m pretty experienced. (In fact I was on a flight two days ago.)
-Bring lotion since it’s really dry.
-Bring noise-cancelling headphones if you have them to block out cabin noise, crying babies, people coughing, people sneezing, people snoring, and other annoying sounds 😛 . You can also listen to music! 😀 🎶
-Devices have to be on airplane mode.
-Bring a book or eReader to keep busy.
-Bring an eye mask in case the airline doesn’t provide one.
-Try to sleep, it will make adjusting to the time difference easier.
-Airline food is very bad unless you’re in business, so if you don’t feel well, don’t eat them.
-The button with a person icon on it is for calling the flight attendant. Don’t press it. 😛
-Just as a warning, the toilet flush is VERY loud and it’s startling.
-Bring something to chew on for descending so your ears don’t pop.
-If you’re in premium/deluxe economy the seats can lean back at bit and you can rest your feet and adjust the head area.
-If you’re in business you basically have a bed.
-Bring a blanket if the airline doesn’t provide them.
-If something seems scary, try to focus on something else, like breathing or holding on tight to the armrest.
-Turbulence (shaking) does happen, but the plane crashing is extremely unlikely. To feel safer, hold on tight to something.
-The airlines I’ve been on have videos about safety and precautions in the beginning, and there’s also a safety card for further reference.
-Sleep, watch movies, read, keep distracted. 🙂
Flying on an airplane isn’t all that scary, it’s mostly the anticipation if it’s your first time. It’s mostly just a bit uncomfortable, depending on long your flight is and what class you’re in. Take deep breaths if you’re scared, I promise nothing bad will happen, I have flown many times and nothing bad has happened to me, the worst being having to wait on the plane for an hour after landing because of a delay, which wasn’t really bad at all. 🙂
Funny story about me on an airplane that my mom told me since I was 1 year old at the time:
Normally babies cry a lot during flights because it hurts their ears, but I didn’t, so the lady behind my parents and I told my mom that I was a good baby and that she hadn’t even noticed there was a baby on the plane. Then I saw an old man with a toupee! I reached out my hand and was about to snatch it from his head, but luckily my mom saw me in time and snatched my hand back. 😛 Don’t remove people’s wigs, Shivy. 😉
Yeah, I’m pretty nervous about airplanes too! But here are some things I have found helpful:
Bring along books, magazines, songs, you name it – plenty of entertainment to keep yourself distracted. And don’t get stressed if you can’t fall asleep on the plane (I used to, as I worried about jet lag – and that backfired, as it usual made me even more awake – but no matter what, it ends up fine! Even just a bit of relaxing rest can do wonders, and so can a sleeping mask 🙂 ). Noise-canceling headphones are also good. Ginger chews can help against airsickness and ear-popping – but earplugs are great too! (For ear-popping, not airsickness. 😛 )

Bring some gum to chew for your ears during takeoff 🙂 It helps me and also distracts me too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just bring something to distract yourself if you’re nervous! When I’d fly between my mom’s and my dad’s I’d bring a book or talk to the person next to me. It really helped me calm down. Hope that helped a little :p

So 1), obviously, we all know the time traveler and the Area 51 massacre. That’s errr… quite something. But then, like even if some people manage to get past the front guards, you do realize that the base is somewhere in a very large area (140 square km???), so you may be searching for hours, and at this time, guards are still looking for you. So it’s like the last episode of Escape the Night but it’s out in the day and there’s so many people looking for you.
