BlogTeam has been hard at work in their overalls, renovating the tavern. The wall with next door’s page has been knocked through to give more space for a lounging area. Ah, the sound of the crackling fire. The dim, soft lighting. This is truly the place to be.

  • I have a theory ok? Hear me out. What if Thornclaw is obsessed with patrols because he dosn’t wan’t another incident with dogs like what happened to his friends Swiftpaw and Brightpaw? Because he let them go and he doesn’t want a repeat? What do you think?

    I’ve got an announcement!

    After a few months with the idea of it toying around in my head, I’ve finally been able to get this plan going with a little bit of help from one of the speediest mods out there…. Cheetahspark! So drum roll, please…

    Introducing the unofficial Blogclan Playlist!

    This playlist will be a compilation of approved songs that anyone can attribute to and will showcase everyone’s unique music tastes 🙂 All music included in this playlist will be appropriate and while I will be adding and not-adding songs that are submitted, the project as a whole is being overlooked by Cheeto.

    So how do you submit these songs and where can you find this playlist?

    Firstly, all songs will have to follow these moderator-approved rules.

    1) No cursing and/or censored versions of songs that originally had cursing.
    2) No inappropriate lyrics or anything implicated to be as such.
    3) Songs with mentions of triggering subjects such as suicide/self-harm should be kept to a minimum with very little mention of it if any.
    4) Any song deemed unfit to be on the playlist because will not be approved. This is a playlist that will be accessible to all ages, and songs that get in the way of that will not be added.  

    To submit the song, go to this hand-dandy Google form!

    Because eventually this comment will be buried, you can also find the link on this wiki page. People without an account can still access the page 🙂

    And now… to listen to the playlist, I have put it both on Spotify and Youtube!

    Songs will be updated about once a month, but since there are only 3 songs in the playlist as of writing this (added by me and Cheet) I might update it at the end of the day to include a few more. At the end of each month, when the playlist is updated, I’ll make a post listing all the songs and who submitted them so people get credit for their awesome song submissions 😀 (I’ll also repost the form link then too!)

  • Hello everyone! A question. Is MapleShade tortoiseshell-and-white or orange-and-white? I’ve always seen her as orange-and-white since a maple leaf is orange. But I read Goosefeather’s Curse and it says she’s tortoiseshell-and-white… and a lot of drawings of her looks like she’ tortoiseshell-and-white. I’m a bit confused.

    Like every time I draw Mapleshade, she changes!! There are too many amazing designs of her, I can’t pick one 😛

      • its based off an amazing book called The animators survival kit by Richard Williams I believe, every freakin animator needs to get it. Ive been working on a run that looks litterally almost exactly like it, thats my reference, so no, I did not do that… I wish hahaha! But thanks 🙂

        • Richard Williams is an inspiration to all Animators, including myself. 🙂

          I have his book, but I believe there’s an app and DVD set that have animated versions of the drawings in the book. Is that where you got the GIF from? I haven’t seen it before.

          • I found it while searching up references for drawing and reviews for the book and about it and whats in it, etc, bc I want to get it. I found the gif when my searches for references and reviews crossed each other in a post/review someone did on the book. I’m guessing that they got it from the DVD or compiled it themselves, I do not know — sorry! Thanks for asking though 🙂 🙂

      • Oh, he basically bullied Harry and his friends for seven flipping years, couldn’t get over a crush on Harry’s mom, had students write papers on how to kill werewolves when he was the substitute Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher- WHEN LUPIN WAS THE TEACHER, openly favored Slytherin students, was rude to Hermione when her teeth did that growing thing, took away points from Gryffindor for no reason…

        • [spoiler title=”Spoilers for various things you’ve probably seen or read”] Understandable, but his death made me cry twice (once in the book and again on the movie) due to all of those same reasons and Alan Rickman’s performance is perfect and extremely enjoyable. The only fictional character deaths that have ever made me legitimately cry were Leafpool, that cat who bullied Tallstar, and Carl’s wife in UP. I was extremely invested in Snape’s character, and he remains my favorite in the series to date, tied with Fred and George. It all boils down to one thing: he might not be a good person, but he is a good character. The fact that he had flaws is what made people like me care about him. Throughout the entire story, you see that, even with the trauma he’s undergone and the distaste he has for Harry and his friends, he still values their lives over his (when Lupin is a werewolf, he immediately puts Harry and the others behind him; intending to use himself as a shield). Contrast this with Rey, who gets about as much character development as a paper bag sorry not sorry Rey fans 😛 She might be a good person (maybe too good) but you’re doing something wrong if I feel happy about a fake character death that is not supposed to be positive. I’m ranting, but I have been analyzing characters for a while now and was motivated. I apologize for living in a tangent and making such a big deal out of this 🙂 [/spoiler]

          • I hesitate at your example of lupin being a werewolf, because snape spent the book baiting/mocking him for his condition, continually making the school unsafe for Lupin. If, say, lupin felt more comfortable explaining he was a werewolf earlier on, the trio might have been able to avoid the full moon or restrain him or something.

            I haven’t read deathly hallows in, like, 8 years, but I’m not really…sure what trauma you’re referring to? Was it the teasing from james and sirius or?
