With BlogClan being based around a series which is over 15 years old, it’s inevitable that the conversation around what does and does not count as a spoiler will be more complicated than in a lot of other franchises.
Generally, our rule is for people to use their intuition about what would and wouldn’t be a spoiler in each situation.
However, we feel it would also be useful to lay down a general guideline on where we stand on spoilers.
- All comments containing spoilers about a Warriors book, submitted before its publication date, will be automatically trashed. There are a number of other places to discuss these kinds of spoilers, and we want to keep BlogClan safe for people trying to avoid them.
- For the first month after the release of a Warriors book, spoilers should be kept to the associated spoiler page – accessible through the menu at the top of the site.
- For the next two months after this period, spoilers in comments found outside those spoiler pages should be clearly marked as such to avoid spoiling people who haven’t yet had the chance to read the latest book.
This will make it easy for moderators to avoid reading comments containing spoilers and protect their enjoyment of Warriors.
I know most of BlogClan will be happy to comply with the new policy. Thank you, in advance.
