What is your opinion on morally gray/grey characters in general, as well as how they are portrayed in warriors? (Ivypool, Clear Sky, etc.)
For me they are pretty hit or miss. The execution of some of them is well done, while for others it’s kind of lacklustre. I don’t like the sort of morally grey cat who wallows in self-pity, but I love characters like Ivypool who grow and develop. Does anyone else feel like morally grey characters tend to be more proactive in terms of serving the plot?

I love them when they’re done well, they’ll usually become my favourite (i.e jinx from arcane who’s one of my all-time favourite characters) warriors doesn’t tend to do them that well i think? i guess even a decent one can be more interesting than just a morally good or bad character but i really don’t like when they end up missing the mark in a way where a character has done really bad stuff and the extent of it isn’t justified by what makes them morally grey instead of simply bad, yet they’re portrayed as overall more good (cough, clear sky after the first battle)
Morally grAy characters, done right, are absolutely fantastic. Some of my favorites! But done wrong, they’re just kind of… disappointing? Clear Sky wasn’t handled the BEST, and was just kind of let off the hook, and didn’t go through a ton of growth. BUT IVYPOOL. I love Ivypool, and I think her conflicting thoughts on what is considered good is done really well! We can see her ask herself, “what is really ‘evil’ if done for the right reasons?” It’s a big part of OOTS, and I feel like it adds a lot to the story!

There’s actually a lot of pages I haven’t been on; I usually hang out on the tavern, secret pages, every once and awhile I’m on Introduce yourself and I read some fanfics (I’m reading a ton rn though!) and the hug page is also somewhere you’ll find me! It’s the warrior games and polls that I’m not on too much. But whatever, I’ll try to go on all the pages regularly!

Thoughts on Ujurak from Seekers?
I personally dislike him because whenever he gets mad or snappy, it is like, “His voice was uncharacteristically sharp.” Like bruh. He gets angry about something every book it’s not out of the ordinary. And Ujurak isn’t very nice and sometimes i think he only cares about the others because of his journey thing and the role they play in it (i know that isn’t true but still)
I haven’t read Seekers but I plan to someday!
Okay, I can’t believe some else read these books! I can FINALLY talk about them!!! (Keep in mind, I’ve only read the first 6 books)
SPOILER WARNING!
In the beginning, I thought Ujurak was pretty cool! He was portrayed as mysterious, and his playful spirit was charming. Ngl, I have mixed feelings about his powers, as they were something I found difficult to grasp.
For the middle books, Ujurak was fine. He did feel at times devoid of any personality besides ‘superpower’ though. When we got his persepective, the power aspect was entertaining, but I felt as though he lacked something… A trait and belief all on his own.
As we neared the end, Ujurak was completely and utterly obsessed with fulfilling his destiny, in a way that kind of made me upset. He didn’t take Lusa into account when he brought all the bears on to the ice. It’s lucky his friends didn’t die.
He’s fine, just not someone I entirely like. His death felt rushed too. My main complaint is how obsessed he was about his destiny to the extent that he ignored everything else around him

I haven’t read those books in a while. It’s a bit below my current reading level. BUT. Back when I read them, Ujurak was probably my favorite! It was probably because he was the “mystical” one of the group, but whatever. Though, his death was *so* rushed. And I honestly hated his appearances in series 2. And looking back, he wasn’t the greatest. Didn’t have the best character, wasn’t always handled very well…. but oh well. I would rather not delve into how maybe Ujurak’s characters sucks. I would prefer to keep the nostalgia around.
Whose your favourite Seekers character?
Mine is probably Lusa, because she’s so sweet and energetic! But there’s something about her that irks me a little – I think how whiny she is sometimes. So Kallik is probably my favourite, she is soooo underrated 🤍
And Toklo – do not get me started on Toklo I really dislike him.
