Housekeeping Rules
- Include content warnings if necessary! This can be things like graphic violence, death, sexual content, etc. If you wouldn’t recommend it to a young kid without warning them what’s coming, then include content warnings!
- Try to keep non-book chatter out of this page! It can be redirected to the Tavern.
- Try to keep Warrior Cats chatter out of this page! We’re here to highlight books aside from the cats we know and love, so you can head over to the Sunning Patch or the Elder’s Den to discuss Warrior Cats!
- Fanfiction recommendations are allowed but fanfiction advertisements are not! This means that while you can recommend someone or your own fanfiction to other people, you cannot announce or remind people of a new chapter release on this page. You may do so on the Fan Fiction page.
Hey y’all does anyone know any good warrior cats fanfic recommendations
Read Dusky’s!
Sorry, I usually stick to Trials of Apollo fanfics 😛 hope you find some good ones!!!!!

Tyger Tyger by Tilian-Tidewaters [Warriors Fanfiction Wiki]
A Silver Symphony by Tilian Tidewaters [Warriors Fanfiction Wiki]
A warning: Dandelion contains portrayals of homophobia, and Crows and Black Magic portray a toxic relationship. And the works by Dew portray abuse, manipulation. If that makes you uncomfortable, then, again, you might not want to check those out.
Dandelion, Of Stars and Sights and Tyger, Tyger are all really good!!
For a second I was like, “I did not write a fanfic called Beauty…” 😛
paws of stars by sunnyfall :3
You could read the other books by Erin Hunter. I only know of three (IDK how many there really are). They are (1) Seekers: this series is about bears who are wandering to save the wild and one of them is really special…….. (just like Warriors has a bunch of mini series, this one has a couple too). (2) Survivors: this is about a lone dog who survives a big event and joins a group of dogs that are being stacked by another pack and then the 2 packs join together (again a couple series along with the first one). (3) This is the most obvious (this website is literally based off of it), and it is Warriors. I hoped this helped you!
Shadeleap’s fanfiction series is sooo good!!! Skymist makes amazing ones too (she’s less active now, I believe, but I could give you the link) and Dusklight is a very talented writer 🙂
Thanks is it ok if you send me the links to Skymists fanfics if that’s alright? Thanks!
Here’s her most completed series! I can give you some more if you like, but I’m not sure how completed those are :))

Enjoy!
I can recommend, with some qualifications, Holly Black’s second series of Elfhame novels, The Stolen Heir and The Prisoner’s Throne. These two books feature Prince Oak, now 17, and Lady Suren (now called Wren), the former queen of the Court of Teeth. Qualification #1: you really need to have read the complete first series (The Cruel Prince, The Wicked King, and The Queen of Nothing) to fully understand the characters, their relations, and their motives. Qualification #2: If you didn’t like the romance between Jude and Cardan in the first series, you’ll probably like this one even less, since the romance between the two main characters is central to the plot.
Eeep I really want to read this but I haven’t finished original trilogy but it is on the top of my TBR list 😀 😀
I started reading The Stolen Heir but never really got into it 😛 I’ll have to try again!
Are there any other horror fans around? If so do you have any recommendations? I’m looking to pick out a few good spooky ones to read before Halloween :]
read Mexican Gothic!
Ooh that’s a good one! I’ve already read it but it was quite fun.
rats, now I have to think of something new
Is that a title or a genre?
a title! the author is Silvia Moreno-Garcia
I’ve really enjoyed Rachel Harrison’s books recently! My favourite of hers I’ve read is Such Sharp Teeth, though I liked Black Sheep too.
I also really liked The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White (though I’d look up tws before trying this one as it gets gruesome despite being technically ya horror).
Oooh thanks I’ll add em to the tbr!!
Ooooh, good idea, I might steal some of your recommendations 😛 Maybe read some Stephen King books? They’re pretty iconic in the horror genre 😛
Okay, so there’s GOING TO BE FOURTH ARC FOR WINGS OF FIRE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!M😱😱🥹🥹🫨🫢😲😮🥹🥹🥹😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

WAIT WHAT REALLY-
Whoops, I forgot to add kit to my name😅

nope, i found out like a couple weeks ago :3
YESSSS! I can’t wait!
YESSSSSSSS YIPEEEE (I’m so late to reply )

Hmm I’m not sure how I feel about that 😛
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *explodes in theatre kid*
YAYYYYY
I better hurry up and finish the third arc 😛
Ok, so, after I finished Wings of Fire and Tui Sutherland’s other series (idk the English title) I wanna read some Agatha Christie books. Which ones do you recommend?
My Mate and I recently read Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?, which we both enjoyed. Murder on the Orient Express and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd are both popular ones. All of these have been made into movies and/or TV shows, some more than once.
Seconding all these! The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is one of my all-time favourites! And Then There Were None is also a good one from her. That’s a stand-alone. From the Poirot series, apart from the two Whitewhiskers just mentioned, I also enjoyed Three Act Tragedy and the ABC Murders, though honestly I think you’d have a decent time with just about any of them. The later ones get a little less compelling IMO though. I haven’t read any of her Miss Marple series, but people say those are fun too ^^
And Then There Were None is a good one!!
And Then There Were None is probably her most famous book so I’d suggest that one!! 🙂
I swear I saw a youtube video about a sci fi book about humanity being manufactured as bricks by aliens and that(book) sounded so COOL but I completely forgot the title of it 😭 I want to read it so much but I can’t remember and it’s driving me crazy please help me out 🙏 Oh and I think there was something about people in Mars, who evolved and adapted to its environment for such a long time that they looked completely different from Earth’s humanity and declared war on each other??? I skimmed through the whole video argh why did I do that D:
Could it be All Tomorrows by C. M. Kosemen?
YES YESYES that’s it!!! I can’t believe you found it omg thank you sooooo so much :DD
the Qu are my biggest opp fr
These sound so cool 😭
I just finished a book called The Darkest Minds, and it was really good! I forgot the author, though I think it would be sci fi. It’s about kids that get superpowers from a mysterious sickness, and they get chased. It it middle grade(I think), and contains some swearing and death.
Ooooh, is that the one by Alexandra Bracken??? 😀 I’ve read some of her other books, and I will def read this one once I get my hands on it!!!!!!!!!
Oh I love the Darkest Minds! It has a film as well, on Disney+ and probably other places too 🙂 u gonna read the whole series? Just to warn you there’s some hints of adult content in the third book, so reader discretion is advised etc etc
That sounds amazing :0
ugghhhh i forgot the name of a book i read on my kindle like 38539285 years ago, and i desperately need help :p
basically someone was murdered and no one knows who, and the person who did the autopsy was the victim’s sister, and she was determined to find out who the murderer was. another person determined to find the killer was another victim of the killer, but she managed to escape, while the other person died.
plsss send help
No idea what book this is but I love it 😭
Has anyone read Fourth Wing? It’s my current hyperfixation <333333
CW for YA, has a LOT of spicy scenes, death, swearing
Just going to add to this, Fourth Wing is actually an adult book, not YA, I was going to read it based on misleading reviews before finding one that told the truth about it, and I prefer to avoid spice, so I skipped on it. The honest review I read said it should be 17+, and based on what I’ve read about it, I agree
Sorry not related but your name is that Zelda meme and for that I have massive respect
Why thank you 😛
Definitely agree with what Cinder said, TFW is classified as “new adult” or in other words “basically a ya book but with hella explicit stuff”. I’d caution against reading it if you don’t think you’re up to handle that sort of thing and especially if you’re a minor. But by all means if you think you can handle the material shown I most definitely would take a look- it’s a great book.
Currently dis minor’s favorite book <33
liam why
Currently dis minor’s favorite book <33
liam whyyyyyy
I haven’t, but I really need to!!
I’ve heard of it A LOT, and it sounds really good! I’m not sure if I’ll read it just yet though, since on a scale of 1-10, I’d prefer lower than 6-7 on the spice scale and it sounds way more than that lol but who knows maybe I’ll cautiously give it a try
Hey y’all I was just wondering if you know some dragon books that are from the dragons perspective and that aren’t wings of fire?
The Inheritance Cycle isn’t fully from the dragon’s perspective, but the rider and dragon’s minds are connected, so you get to hear a lot of her thoughts. It’s very heavy fantasy, I would recommend 13+ based on battle scenes, but it depends more on your reading level, it’s really descriptive and a very dense, but not boring, book overall, kind of like Lord of the Rings
I know I’ve read more dragon books, I just can’t think of any right now 😛
– Age of Fire by EE Knight
– The Dragon With a Chocolate Heart by Stephanie Burgis (highly reccommend this one!)
– Tooth and Claw by Joe Walton
– A Dragon’s Chains by Robert Vane
– The Erth Dragons by Chris D’Lacey
– New Dragon City by Mari Mancusi
There’s one series I’ve read that is SOMETIMES from the dragons perspectives called Dragon Orb 🙂 but it’s mostly the humans I think
No sorry, but Cinders said The Inheritance Cycle so I’m going to say that one 😛
For one of my classes I read a book called We See Each Other: A Black, Trans Journey Through TV and Film, which was a very interesting read! It’s nonfiction, but with a pretty light and easy to read style to it, though it’s still packed with information. It’s added a ton of shows to my watchlist 😛
I’d recommend it for warriors only, as it includes swearing, mentions of sexual content, and discussion of some heavier aspects such as violence and damaging representation (though nothing is described too in-depth).
This sounds really interesting!!
Do any of y’all have any horror/mystery recommendations? I’m fine with swearing, just as long as it’s not on literally every single page (Fourth Wing, looking at you. Picked up that book and set it right back down). I’m not very sensitive with depictions of violence, but most likely I’ll read the book past my bedtime and be too scared to go to sleep if it’s too scary :p
The Lockwood & Co series by Jonathan Stroud might be worth checking out! I don’t remember if there’s much swearing, but it’s a supernatural YA horror-ish mystery combo that’s pleasantly spooky without being super scary.
Oh haha! My friend’s currently reading the series right now, and she loves it! When I saw this reply, my friend and I freaked out together lol
That’s awesome, your friend has excellent tastes 😛
I think the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix might be up your street! It’s not quite horror but it’s about necromancy so it has spookiness.
I’m a bit hesitant to reccommend Andrew Joseph White’s books (Hell Followed With Us). They’re great but I’d only reccommend if you’re really comfortable with body horror.
let me put you on vro🙏
the diviners (1920s NYC supernatural horror series with 4 books, it’s extremely extremely good and starts off very strong, all of the characters are interesting and the author libba bray fleshes out the setting very well). it’s not that scary, I listened to the audiobook which made things a bit more spooky but there are some creepier parts but nothing like “man made horrors beyond comprehension” level.
I don’t have any horror recommendations but hi 😛
Hi :DD
Has anyone here read Life of Pi by Yann Martel? It’s a book about a boy named Pi who ends up stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena, and a Bengal tiger. It’s very interesting and complex- in the beginning it’s a bit boring, but as the story proceeds things get quite drastic. I’m definitely up for some discussion if anyone else has read it.
(CW: gore, violence, pretty graphic descriptions- but described in a clinical, matter-of-fact way)
I have! It’s been a couple years but I remember liking it fairly well. I agree that at some points the pacing is a bit slow but overall it’s a good book. It’s one of my dad’s favorites also :p
my english teacher showed us the trailer once!
I haven’t read it but that sounds awesome!
